Visited in May 2018. We did the fantastic 2 night package. The loft junior suite was modern with special views. The Michelin restaurant was great for us. It wasn’t molecular gastronomy, as the waiter said “we like you to be able to see what you’re eating” . We’ve been to many world famous Michelin places but now also enjoy a more simple, well thought out menu. I didn’t have high hopes for a special German trip but this boutique hotel made it memorable! Everyone rushes for Italy and Spain (which we love), but Germany is mistakenly overlooked.

Our first time in the beautiful town of Deidesheim and therefore as well our first visit to Ketschauer Hof. At booking I was in e-mail contact to the staff, and they were helpfull by arranging our visit to them. A couple of days before arriving, I received an mail asking if we had any request upon our visit. Good style ! The hotel itself was nice and clean. Rooms are not that big, but acceptable size. Staff were very kind and helpful. Anything we missed? - it should be a pool in hot days, however temperature was nice during the summer we stayed at the hotel. Next time we are in the area of Deidesheim, we will definitely choose to stay at Ketschauer Hof again.

the hotel is wonderful, very few beautiful rooms, the suites are spectacular, very good service and a very tasty breakfast. we also ate 3x at the restaurant 1718 and were slightly disappointed, the fish was too raw, the meat (tafelspitz) was cooked ‚sous-vide‘ but the taste was not as good as i was hoping, hence only 4 points not 5.

Fantastic hotel, rooms are modern and stylish and the two on-site restaurants offer excellent food. Can really recommend a visit to the Michelin-starred Jordan restaurant, fab menu and nice service! Great breakfast selection, too and liked it was served at the table. Particularly loved the location directly in town allowing to walk to many nearby wineries.

Uninteresting Deidesheim offers a lot of good eating options and one perfect place to sleep. The things we did not like were a small poo missing (maybe you can use the one at its sister property). The one design failure we found: you can’t switch of the mood light in the bathroom (maintenance disabled it). It is a very peaceful place, so it was a pity they started testing sound equipment with loud pop music as a preparation for their annual party just a bit too long (they stopped when we asked them to). We booked a junior suite in this Small Luxury hotel. It came with complimentary breakfast with personalized service. The hotel offers heavenly beds, free parking, a lot of free in room extra’s, solid WIFI. Rates are steep, but worth it. Airy rooms, windows to open. Clean lining, stunning design. Is this the best designed hotel in Germany. Not sure, but it comes really close.…

We had an amazing stay at Ketschauer Hof over Easter. The hotel is in the middle of Deidesheim village, a historic building with a lot of charme. Staff is super friendly and authentic. A la carte breakfast on the hotel's terrace was delicious. We will be back!

Amazing hotel in a beautiful town. The bedrooms are modern with the most comfortable beds - like sleeping on a cloud! We ate in the bistro which was very good - serving local cuisine and excellent wines. Breakfast was delicious too. The staff were very friendly and help. This will become a regular stop for us on our way to Austria/Italy from the ferry in the Netherlands.

This is a very attractive hotel in a lovely town. Really, I wanted to give the hotel top marks but a couple of things spoilt our stay so that I have given it a lower rating. Firstly, the air conditioning was defect so that we couldn’t turn it off and we froze during the night (metaphorically speaking :)). Ok these things happen but still pretty disappointing given this is a top hotel and not cheap. More disappointing though was a rather unhelpful and unfriendly breakfast service - when I pay to stay in a top hotel I don’t want to be greeted by being told the service is going to be slow because the server is on her own and has to walk a long way to and from the kitchen! The breakfast itself was nice and the reception staff in particular and in contrast were exceptionally friendly and professional. …

The Ketschauer Hof is everything you can wish for. It has very nice rooms and suites with all the amenities and jacuzzis, it has an excellent restaurant, it is located in idyllic Deidesheim just a few steps away from the vineyards and the forest.

We had a junior suite on the top floor which was just great: nice views of the vineyards and town, a whirlpool, and a super comfy bed. The breakfast is really good - we spend at least 1,5 hours every day enjoying ourselves. Definitely TRY THE PANCAKES! :-) Another great note from our stay was the staff: always friendly, very fast in accommodating a couple of small requests we made, and extremely knowledgeable about the area. Ask them for tips on wineries!
