Very nice, family run 3 star typically "German" hotel. Great value for money. Tram to Bonn on the street outside. Very nice location on the river where the cruise ships dock. Konigswinter is a great location relative to Bonn and Cologne. Nice antique building, definitely not a sterile concrete box.

Pro's: affordable, quiet, great views from both the bedrooms and the breakfast area, decent coffee, tram stop nearby with direct connection to/from Bonn. Con's: Wifi is not free (although ethernet cables were available for free); room is average, but wasn't expecting much given the price, however there was a slight unpleasant odor in the bathroom and thus the fan ran... Good hotel, the only observation is we have only paid wireless, it is nice to have a free wireless. The city is very beautiful, plan to be at least more than two days. Try the different restaurants and bars.

I'll preface this with the fact that I hadn't slept in about 36 hours before I got here. There was a wedding reception the night I stayed, so it was pretty packed. They put me in an annex way off in a corner. The room didn't keep out any noise, although it wasn't a big deal because there was very... More

It looks great from outside and the restaurant looks pretty swish but the reception area is a warning sign that all might not be as it seems ! First the good: 1 The restaurant is good and has great views of the Rhine. 2. Breakfast is good (same views!) 3 The location is good Now the bad: 1. No wifi... More

Wonderful location, hotel is beautiful with lots of character. The dining room has wonderful views over the Rhein. The staff were very friendly and gave good tips on where to eat and drink in the small town. Breakfast was included in our room rate and the buffet was very generous and traditional German offerings.

We didn’t stay at this hotel, but we had dinner there with a group of 9 people. While the hotel looks grand (and maybe expensive) on the outside, one can actually eat there at very reasonable prices (18-25 euro). Nothing too fancy, but the food was very good, and although there was a wedding party going on in another room,... More

The stairway and entrance into the hotel is vey grand but that is where it stops, no lift to the floor I was on, I had to walk through a labyrinth of stairs and corridors to get to my room. The room itself wasn't bad, but on the way back down to reception I got lost and ended up in... More

We stopped off to eat on a trip and found attentive service, good menu, good and friendly service and excellent value for money. The calves' liver was perfect and my schnitzel succulent. The hotel itself seemed rather in a time-warp, but was comfortable if a little shabby

This is a hotel which advertises with elegant rooms. The enntrance to the hotel lives up to this, but when we arrived we had to go through a labyrint of stairways and corridors to arrive in a room located two buildings behind the actual hotel. This was NOT an elegant room. It was smelly, outdated, dirty, the curtain had been... More
