For people interested in the history of Central Europe a stay in Haus Schlesien is a good way to improve their knowledges. The hotel aims to preserve the memory of Silesia as it was before World War II, before it became a part of Poland. But it is not turned only toward the past, the staff help people from to-day... We liked the hotel very much, although the town of Heisterbacherrott is not much to see. the inner courtyard in the hotel is great, and the grounds around the hotel are beautiful. we had one of their largest rooms and it was really nice. We also ate dinner in their restaurant and that was very good.

The rooms are a little basic(but therfore not very expensive) and the location is unfortunately a long way from any town. The buildings and the surrounding countryside makes the place a charming place to stay.
