We spent a week at the Elfi, making trips in the Hamburg area with an old friend. We were delighted. Bad Bevensen is a beautiful spa town with enormous trees, so walking to the spa, train station, and shops is a pleasure. Through traffic is prohibited around the Elfi, and the quiet is wonderful. This is another of excellent stays during our trip in May 2012. I've written a number of gushing reviews about the hotels this trip and this is another. “If stairs are a problem, ask for the main floor. We had room 5, at a back corner of the main floor, so going down to breakfast was the only encounter with stairs. As for bikes, there's a covered, secure area.”
