Pensiunea Banffi is actually a resort that includes, in addition to the guesthouse and restaurant, a large parking lot, a sport field, a children playground and three villas. A pine and spruce forest is located nearby. We've been accommodated in one of the villas. Each villa has three bedrooms and a shared living room with fully equipped kitchen. Ski gear storage and a terrace are also to be shared by the villa's occupants. The rooms were nicely furbished, a mixture of Scandinavian design with a traditional touch. We started every day with a refreshing walk to the restaurant and back for breakfast. The quality of the air in the area is impressive. The breakfast, mainly based on regional ingredients, was tasty. The only flaw was the tea selection, which really needs to be improved. I do understand that Romania is a coffee drinking country, but it's not acceptable for a hotel to ignore completely the idea that some humans might prefer tea for breakfast. However, I'm a coffee drinker myself and the coffee was very good.

Tasty food and great service. It was raining and still was very busy. We were taken to the only available table and the waitress had very kindly not only wiped the rain off the chairs but brought us seat cushions and blankets. How sweet! The food was really lovely and in good portions. Also in terms of pricing it was very good and did not break the bank. The same food, in a city location would be a much more extravagant affair. So well done for keeping the prices low and quality high. The toilets were inside the B&B and were immaculate and even heard people gasping when going inside. That’s a big bonus for Romania as it is rare to see that!

The perfect place where you can charge your batteries. Very kind staff, always with a smile on their face and eager to help you, clean and nicely decorated rooms, tasty food, spa area (sauna, hot tub), children's play area, I can only recommend the guesthouse very warmly. Regarding the gastro area, I really appreciated the fact that there is collaboration with local producers, for example I drank a very good sea buckthorn juice. Last but not least, I want to mention the location, the guesthouse has a very beautiful panorama and there are many leisure activities in the area.

Banffy accommodation is a great place to stay in your vacation. Very good conditions and very clean. The room is big enough for a large family furnished with good taste. The view from the balcony was stunning, especially in the morning when the mist was wondering on the mountains and on top of Toplița city. The food was also great and the overall service excellent. We will definitely be back here.

This hotel is located on a top of a hill from where you can admire a beautiful landscape. Fresh air, friendly staff, good food, cosy design, very warm atmosphere. Our room was a fammily room, quait spacious, with comfortable beds and very clean. Breakfast is bufet, very good, and lots of choices.

It was 4 wonderful days including New year's eve.The hotel is at a very convenience location, close to everything and to the ski center. We were with our kids, they had place and staff to play and of course the snowy yard on the front. The rooms were quite big and comfortable ,warm and always hot water at the bathroom.On the other hand the rooms could be a little more interesting about design but its ok. We enjoyed great and lot of romanian food and the staff also was very helpful and polite. Thank you very much our stay was great!

Excellent accommodation conditions and very nice and friendly people! Civilized tourists, very clean everywhere, the food at the restaurant is delicious and cheap, the atmosphere is pleasant in the room. And the outdoor barrel, is fantastic.

They have a nice playground and a tennis court/football play area where our kids played. They also have an open grassy area which is ideal if you have toddlers who just want to run around all day. Their food is great, and its inexpensive too. We just were surprised at the low breakfast variety, considering breakfast is highly rated in this property. We're guessing its because it was a Monday.

Great location, very friendly and helpfull staff, the guesthouse is very nicely arranged and help you to relax, very wonderful mood. The rooms are very bright, clean and warm and you can also find a room for storage of ski equipment overnight. The food served in the pension's restaurant is very tasty, the prices are very decent and the portions served are very high. We would like to recommend the price / room for a restful holiday.

We were 3 and we were given the smallest room ever, for which we payed 350 ron. Did it happen because we only spent 1 night (saturday night) and not the whole weekend (friday and saturday)? We had the impression that they do not like to rent for 1 night only. We noticed that once there are more than 2 tables occupied in the restaurant it begins to smell like we were in the kitchen. With the cooking the smell gets into the restaurant which is very unpleasant! Our clothes smell, now that we are home and got them out of the luggage! Some of the dishes may be fine, but in a word their food is rather fast food and their chips are not house made but bought frozen from the supermarket (but on the menu the chips are marked as romanian authentical). All in all we got the impression that they do not want 1 night tourists. I am really sorry for recommending them to friends in the past, it won’t happen again. Such a pitty for the nice place and view!
