The rotes haus is a modern building with functional design. Bedrooms are rather functionally furnished but spacious and clean with fridge and mini cooking facilities. Free wifi in reception area and copious breakfast with good choice of meat, cheeses and fresh bread rolls. A pleasant spot with welcoming friendly service. Plenty of free parking and covered spot for bikes. Short... More

Just came back from a night in this hotel - the rooms are large but very basic and rather stark. Not a cosy place for a holiday - I wouldn't book it myself. I did however sleep well, it has good pillows (not the ghastly German pillows) and breakfast was basic but ok. The showers are not too comfortable and... More

Though the hotel was functional and the rooms rather stark and bare, the staff were helpful and friendly and the breakfast delicious. There was no hairdryer or computer lead in the room but these were available from reception and there was an ironing and drying room in the basement. We were staying over the local festival weekend and whilst more... More

What VQA said! The only thing I can add is, this place felt like a school or a prison. The stairwell was made of metal with steps like you find outside at a ski resort. The breakfast offered, among many other things, rolls coated with seeds. Never saw that before and found it to be exceptional. This is not a... More

nice hotel in Uberlingen, a little far from the lake (10 min by foot, with a steep climb) but in a quiete place. the hotel is new but it has a good service and the bedroom are nice. there are only two things that can be better: the shower as no door neither tent and when we showered the bathroom... Other than the breakfast buffet, this hotel had no amenities. However, the room was huge by any standards and massive by European! We had a kitchenette. The staff was very accommodating, making sure we knew just where to park our bicycles and arranging for a taxi for us, as well as making sure we had all the information we needed... More

My apologies for the the lack luster writing here but this is how we felt. - Hyper modernized - Form over function - Nothing really cozy or inviting - There was a coldness to the overall ambiance - The hotel was perfectly suitable for our needs: a clean, simple affordable place to stay the night) ***Staff were very friendly ***Price...
