We spent just one night at the Soelchebaeck; there weren't too many other hotels available in Schwaebisch Hall on the night we wanted to stay there, and we weren't prepared to spend the quoted price for the only hotel that was closer to the town centre. Our room (on the second floor) was quite large, with a very clean bathroom, sofa, and flatscreen TV. The hotel was very peaceful and quiet, and while it isn't very modern, it's certainly comfortable.

Breakfast was good with plenty of choice, including Weisswurst (and we did have a nice selection of bread, rolls, and pastries to choose from).

While this hotel isn't right in the town centre, it's still a lot closer than some of the other hotels (especially those clustered near the airport), and the walk downhill to the town is pleasant. We strolled back up the hill, and it isn't too taxing. It would be a short ride in a taxi.

The area around the hotel is both pleasant and quiet, and the parking is free. If we...

This hotel is run by a bakery, so you would expect a particularly good selection of bread and rolls for breakfast. Strangely, this is exactly where you will be disappointed. Apart from sliced bread, the only rolls were lye rolls. We had to depart before 7 am on 1st November, which was a local holiday in this part of Germany, but the hotel only started serving breakfast at 8.30. The rooms are reasonably sized. Despite the overall modern building, the furniture is more rustic. Flatscreen TV in room. You need to climb a staircase to get from reception to the rooms. The property is in a residential area (close to a vocation training institute) and, therefore, quiet at night. The neighbouring school generates traffic from around 7.15 a.m. onward. More
