I always wanted to stay in a old style hotel quite, homely, great hosts, tastefully decorated rooms, cosy lobby, nice little town, most attractions walkable. In short a place that takes you back to the late 1800s or early 1900s...... This hotel had all of that, and more. When I learnt the fact that the building has been there since...

Staying in Hotel Adler Post is everytime like staying with my own family! Tessa, her Grandma, her father and the entire staff catered to us from the moment until the last moment. I was so comfortable and at home that I can't imagine staying anywhere else in Germany. Even their dog Emma would ease any homesickness. Food is great and...

We spent a week in Schwetzingen visiting relatives and cities in the area. The hotel was next door to the Schlossgarten (ask for passes at the desk) and lots of restaurants. Our room was clean and comfortable, the German breakfast was terrific, wifi was good and parking was available. During the week, business people stayed there but on Saturday, the...

The Hotel Adler Post met all of our expectations and more!! The rates were very reasonable and our junior suite was lovely and comfortable. The suite also had air conditioning which we appreciated during our August visit. The hotel is in an excellent location in the downtown area, near wonderful restaurants and outdoor cafes within walking distance. The adjacent Schwetzingen...

This a family run, small guest house in a superb location. It isn't a full blown hotel, it doesn't have room service, 24 hour reception desk, bar, restaurant or a lift (at least I don't think so). However what you do get is deeply friendly and personal service. The owners and their staff will cater for your every need as...

Two things I need in a hotel: One - good wifi. Strike one. Two - cool / quiet room for sleeping. Strike two. WiFi simply didn't work in my first room (which was otherwise very, very nice). Had to move to a much less night top floor (hot) room to gain access to wifi. What a let down. Unseasonably hot...

Stayed one night in this hotel and the welcome was quite warm. Nice location in the small town of Schwetzingen. Room was very clean as well as the bathroom. Offering open buffet breakfast; fresh and a good variety of choices. This hotel could be excellent when offers a dinner and wider parking place. Recommended for good, silent location and service.

My mom and dad have been coming to Schwetzingen for years to eat white asparagus, and they alwyas stay here. This year I was lucky enough to be invited along. My room was nothing fancy, and yet it had absolutely everything - hairdryer, bathrobe, slippers, soft comfy bed, big puffy comforter, free internet (get the password at the front desk),...

We just spent five days at the Hotel Adler Post in Schwetzingen, Germany which is only a couple of miles or so outside of Heidelberg, Germany. It is a charming hotel and has been in the same family for over 200 years! The rooms are charming, clean and very comfortable. The breakfast which is included is just wonderful and the...
