We have cruised along Rhine River during our cruise trip by late Oct and saw this beautiful castle hotel. It looked like the fairy-tale castle instead of a luxury hotel from the external. Nonetheless we learnt from our cruise-mate couple that they have stayed in this wonderful

This is the real deal: an authentic castle high atop a mountaintop and a steep cliff overlooking the Rhine River with 5-star accommodations and 5-star cuisine. The Hüttl Family has turned a castle ruins into a luxury hotel. Compared to other hotels in the area, you may think th

This place provided everything that you would expect staying in a castle.....ambiance, luxury, history, beautiful gardens, fine dining, and a setting with a commanding view. We highly recommend the wine pairing with your dinner.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Castle! The service was first rate, the dinner was UNBELIEVABLE! Our room was beautiful, clean and well appointed. The Castle gardens are not to be missed. We will be back!

We enjoyed the old-world ambience of this castle hotel. Wonderful views over the Rhine, with charming touches such as the welcome sherry, Penhaligon amenities, fruit plate and chocolates, staff costumes, excellent breakfast and dinner.
One strong recommendation: since the hotel

Do you get to pick which dinning room you want to have dinner in? And which one has the best atmosphere?
We were not asked which dining room we wanted; however, I think I would have had a difficult time choosing. All the dining rooms were quite lovely. I wouldn't be surprised if they would allow you to choose, however, as long as you ask early enough (before they have all the tables assigned.)

Which of the rooms would be most suitable for a family of four (our kids will be 8 when we go)?
I think kids would really enjoy this place - great views, delicious meals, friendly and attentive staff, and all the bells and whistles of a castle! We stayed in rooms 32 and 33, which each easily accommodated 2 adults, so they would be more than adequate for two eight-year olds. If space is your main concern, choose Rhinelanderzimmer no 34. It can accommodate 4 people. For the largest square meters, then opt for no 30 and 31 (largest at 55 square meters). Don't miss the gardens! Enjoy.

Is their availability for Tuesday, May 15 & Wednesday May 16? Just found your site and love this! We are traveling from Chicago... and have a 2 day stopover.
It has been a couple years since I was there, but as far as I know they are open 24/7. Great location with quick access to Frankfurt and Koblenz Scott
