We had a very pleasant and immaculately clean room. We enjoyed 6 nights at the Waldeck and went skiing every day. It is a really good deal with the free ski pass. The highlight of the hotel stay is definitely the restaurant where the evening meal was wonderful every time. Breakfast is excellent as well. We will definitely be returning!

Lovely place to stay. Well situated close to ski lifts and walks etc. Helpful team working there keen to help non-German speakers which was appreciated. Rooms very nice however the food was exceptional and of unbelievable quality for the price. Spend £20 on a meal here and compare it to £50 or more in U.K. Not had better food in...

We really enjoyed our stay, the room was very comfortable, clean and quiet. We pack light as there are no elevators in many of the smaller hotels and this was no exception. Our only disappointment was that the chef/ owner was recovering from surgery so the award winning restaurant was only serving guests on the meal plan. Staff was very...

This is a typical looking Black Forest hotel , completely in keeping with the area. It was our twelth stay at the Waldeck hotel, and I am pleased to say , that for us it is still as enjoyable as ever. Our usual room had been refurbished and offers a balcony that gets the afternoon/evening sun. Perfect. If you stay...

Nice hotel in the beautiful Schwarzwald situated close to a lot of beautiful places. The hotel is however not worth the price. It is located right across from a very noisy road with plenty of trucks passing by at all times during day and night. The balconies are facing the road and no sun reaches them. Wifi is provided free...

The room was spacious and clean. The heating in the room was excellent (you can change the temperature in the room) and there is a view of the black forest through the window. The breakfast was delicious and we had a lot to choose from. (Eggs, cheese, ham, bacon, fruit, yogurt, granola, bread and croissants) we once had dinner at...

We and friends stayed a week in October. Good-size, quiet, pine-clad room with views over the valley towards the little rail station and beyond. Room cleaned thoroughly every day. Self-service breakfast buffet very high quality, as were the several dinners we took in the comfortable hotel restaurant. Really excellent food prepared by chef / patron Florian. Staff all very courteous....

We stayed there for 6 nights. The staff is wonderful, helpful and can fill almost any request. The rooms are basic, but comfortable, and being professionally cleaned every day at the highest level. The breakfast is wonderful and you can find anything you would want. We ate there couple of dinners which were great (we ordered stakes...) and one can...

This is a small, friendly hotel but the service, rooms and food are well up to the standard of fashionable, larger city establishments. Our room was large with excellent views over the valley and beyond. Everything was modern and exceptionally clean. The restaurant had the same view and was a delight to eat both breakfast and dinner in. All the...
