The best aspect of this hotel is the location - the old part of the hotel at least. The old part is located directly on the shore of the Starnberger Lake. The beer garden and the restaurant terrace are also directly at the waters edge. The newer part of the hotel is a little was back from the shore up... More

Best castle visit week have ever experienced in Germany. Close to the Mosel and strongly recommend for anyone interested in complete still standing castles dating back to as early as 1100's. Never destroyed and classic castle with wonderful tours available in English. The drive along the Mozel was also wonderful. I strongly recommend this Castle visit as a true 5... More

We stayed in a large family room overlooking the lake. You cannot beat the outdoor patio overlooking the lake to spend your afternoon relaxing. Enjoyed a nice dinner, as well as breakfast in the morning. We traveled to Munich the next day, and it was an easy 30 minute drive.

Very nice place to stay, however allowing pets into rooms is not ideal if you suffer from allergies. It appears that Europeans cannot leave their dogs at home to go on a holiday or eat a meal at a restaurant. That dog smell puts you off your meal if the dog is sitting under the table next to you.

You can't beat the patio view - quiet setting overlooking the lake of Starnberg. Great place for a cup of coffee but not a great place to spend a night. Rooms are very basic. If you love 80s charm or deluxe youth hostels this hotel is the right place for you- if you care about elevators, AC, modern bathrooms, good... More

Warmly welcomed, friendly service, rooms are not modern but have the character of a countryside, freshly painted, beautiful views of the lake. It was a great quiet escape before we head off for family visiting. The breakfast is a hot and cold buffet but the eggs were served cold. Dinner was microwaved my meat was half cold half hot. The... Room was big and clean, nice view on the lake. I was in the building on the lake, the main part of the hotel is in another building. Wellness facility did not impress me : look old and was not working ? Or maybe one should ask for it to run ? Very quiet.

I stayed at this hotel for 4 nights. I chose the room with the lake view. The room was large and clean. Quite and comfortable. The staff were friendly. The location was perfect. The food was also good. My only criticism would be the lack of coffee making facilities in the room. Other than that I will be staying here... More

This is a superb hotel for resting holidays. The hotel is perfectly located on the lake shore and the staff is very friendly and efficient. They are doing all their best for making your stay perfect. Rooms are big and very clean. We have one with view to the lake and it was amazing. Hotel restaurant is a must, not... More

I loved the hospitality!! I had a personal greeting in my room, which was amazing! I had lake view and a huge balcony. Furthermore I was asked if all was "good" or needed anything during a Workshop i hosted there. Management is phenomenal!! Fully recommend this hotel!!!
