It is a sustainable lodge with the idea of conservation and preservation of this region. Mamori River is one of the most interesting eco-system with many different kinds of Mammals and birds. The lodge is surrounded by many small creeks (small channel). The main building is a combinations of typical natives house with some modern style, in the first floor we have the reception with a nice place to read, play cards, pool table or to have a tropical drink in ours nice Amazon Turtle bar on the up floor we have the restaurant with great panoramic view specially during the high water level where you can see some dolphins just during meals time. Note: Amazon Turtle Lodge is supplied by a generator from 06:00pm to 00:00am. The Lodge has 08 Bungalows with two rooms per Bungalow; they are all suites with private washroom and toilet with private veranda with a hammock having a fantastic and mystic lake view. there are in some rooms but not in all I think. Won't hurt to have one and not need it!

The turtle lodge has both river view and non-river view units with air-conditioning. My wife and I had a cabin with a river view and air conditioning, which included a nice balcony.
