We stayed at the wonderful Wittelsbacher Hof for eight nights for our summer holidays and what a great choice it was. The hotel had a true Alpine feel on our arrival. The Ortlieb Family gave us a very, warm welcome and along with there staff made our stay a real joy. We were given all the information about the village of...

We went there for 4 days in July, 2014. Our friends from Germany stay there every year, and we went to meet them there. The room was delightfully comfortable, the view was breathtaking. The service and food were excellent - good German food. I lived in Germany for a while and it was like coming home. Perfect location for walking...

We stayed here from 1st August to 3rd August. Summary of pros and cons: Pros - great location (5-7 mins gentle walk from centre), beautiful view from room 225, great balcony, and very good staff / service. Cons - it's an historical hotel but it is in serious need of modernising / refreshing which can be done in keeping with...

Stayed for four nights when I had a conference at the Overstdorfhaus. Small but perfectly charming single room for 85 euro, included a fabulous breakfast buffet and access to the spa/pool. Very clean, friendly and quiet. It is located about 1km from the train station and is a safe, easy 5 min stroll to the conference centre, likely less than...

stayed here for one night in a nice room which was a bit outdated but had a very new and great bathroom friendly staff and the food for dinner and breakfast in the restaurant was great so while this may not be the most fashionable place to stay, the value for money is really good

I stayed here for one night in the in-between season, meaning that ski season was over and the summer guests hadn´t really started arriving. This made this lovely town look a bit over sleepy. It´s not a long walk from the pedestrian streets in the centre of town but a few brisk steps away. I made use of the spa...

Stellar service. Wonderfully clean, clean, clean. Rich in tradition. Restaurant is excellent. As the other reviewer noted, US guests may find this hotel borders more on the "mountain lodge" or B&B-like end of spectrum than what we're accustomed to thinking of as "hotels" -- that's Allgäu for you.

I'll be frank, my wife and I prefer top four and five star hotels. But we also demand value and high standards of service and cleanliness. Nowhere, and I am not exaggerating, nowhere have I encountered a more profound sense of service and commitment to one's guests than I did at this hotel. I congratulate and applaud the third generation...
