I have stayed here several times. It is excellent value for money and about 20 minute walk into Central Goslar. It is quirky, a bit like a film set with themed fascades to the hotel rooms. Great outdorr area for children and picnic spots in the wooded grounds. Great for a budget stay near the beautiful town of Goslar.

This is a great place to stay, free parking, free WIFI, staff friendly and helpful, The location is a couple of minutes drive to Goslar which is full of bars, shops, and restaurants. The rooms are clean and spacious and the whole layout of the grounds give it a theme park feel, the restaurant does a nice menu, and the food is... More

I am a hotelier - I have spent my career working in luxury hotels in the UK and charging guests extortionate rates for the priiviledge of staying there. Needless to say, service was impeccable, guests wanted for nothing and everything from the beds in the bedroom to the cutlery in the restaurants were spared no expense. Everything in the hotels... Stayed here as part of a coach tour last month. Pulling up outside, I think nobody knew what to expect, as it looked like a village in the woods rather than a hotel. Looks can deceive! Rooms were clean, and looked recently decorated with lovely powerful showers. No hospitality tray, but this is nothing unusual in parts of Europe, and... More

Myself, my hubby and dog have just stayed here for 4 nights Sunday - Thursday (FEB) The rooms are clean'ish - I say ish! as on the surface they look clean but the walls in the bathroom could have done with a clean down and in the corners of the bathroom dirt/mould needed a wipe down. The room was a... More

This is the second time we have stayed at this hotel - this time it was chosen by friends, for a visit as a group. The is a group of buildings superficially made to look like a village street, with the reception & restaurant 50m from the 'houses' where the rooms are located, a bit like a motel. It is... More

I stayed at this hotel last night - on a spur of the moment decision to get away for the evening. It was very relaxed and laid-back, and only a 20 minute walk into Goslar. The setting is nice - you really do feel that you are in a forest setting and the accommodation is quite quirky (on the outside).... More

We had got an excellent discount deal for Harzlodge which included room, breakfast and dinner for two days and an additional night at nominal costs at a very economical rate. The food was not only good but was served with generous quantities and the stay was comfortably enjoyable. A morning visit to Rammelsburg mines and rest of the day spent... More

On the one hand this hotel is located in the forest. On the other hand it was a walk of almost half an hour to get to the station or a supermarket. And the rooms are not really quiet because of other guests.

The set up here is a bit different and brings a lot of charm. The rooms are basic, clean, standard hotel rooms but the building facade is decorated like an old village - there is a butcher, pub, town hall, etc. It could be tacky but it gives it quite a lot of character and suits the forest setting. Its... More
