It was 9:30pm on a Sunday evening when I attempted to check-in to Boardinghouse Home complex. I entered the booking number and my name more than 10 times to try to register. Each time the computer showed “no reservation” under my name or the booking number. No one at the Boardinghouse Home management was available. Boardinghouse Home is a poorly...

This hotel is the do-it-yourself kind. You look up your reservation in the machine and pay directly. The machine then gives you your receipt and key card. The room was fine and had a big terrace (which we did not use cause it was bad weather). The location is a 20 min walk from the main station.

We stayed for a week. Location is excellent, close to the river and the City Center. Apartment was spot on. It is also a quiet place, which helped us get a good rest for the next day. It is not a hotel, but something between an apartment and a hotel. Ideal for us.

Great hotel, good location. One can walk easily to the Altstadt. Quiet, Clean, good prices on the weekends. Staff was friendly and helpful. There are several good coffee / Cafe places within a few minutes walk. One is called Elf.

We got to the hotel late in the afternoon, after 4, and all they had was a kiosk to great us. I spent the better part of an hour trying to access our reservation. I tried every conceivable combination to get it. I was pretty much fed up and attempted to rent another room with just a single bed just...

This is a rather weird apartment hotel - one of those design concepts that look great in the brochure and causes quite a bit of consternation for the uninformed user. It is obviously designed for a very certain kind of customer - and almost hilariously "German." For instance - there is kitchen in the apartment, but it only has a...

The hotel located 10 min to old city and lake by walking. It is an apart hotel with fully kitchen. For long stays could be the price quite good for such hotel. Wifi is free, there is a self-check-in machine, so the reception is closed at nights.

The Boardinghouse concept is fully automated. At the check-in machine you collect your key and printed invoice. Rooms are spacious (I had a single room) with a kitchenette. You need to buy your own coffee, tea (Edeka is 5min away by foot). Clean and spacious bathroom. WiFi included. Breakfast is optional and parking garage as well. Unfortunately my access key...

My 78 year old mother and her friend stayed at this hotel from 12 - 16 August 2014. I booked the hotel through booking.com. Anybody using this hotel should be aware that reception is only open from 7 am - 11 am! My mother arrived at 8 pm, tried to check-in through the hotel ATM/credit card system - for some...

Our trip to Kostanz was a last minute decision and by the time we arrived, just about every hotel in the city was completely sold out. (Not sure if we would have even considered this hotel if there was more availability). The Boardinghouse is located in a residential neighborhood, but is a short walk from the city area and the...
