This new and beautiful guest house is located in a true Armenian village. The house is built and run by Hovhannes who is passionate for the history, the land and the house as he grew up here. The yard is beautifully decorated with stonework, a tribute to ancient history of these places. We came here for a 2 day retreat from the city and for the feel of rural life. The village is 1800 m above sea level which is refreshing after hot Yerevan. The house is a great starting point for Aragats hiking and a hub for seasonal birdwatching. Make sure to ask for local lavash, it is the best we tried. Wifi was sometimes out on my phone, but laptop connection was fine. The house has is fully equipped for cooking and good rest.

We were warmly welcomed, it is a little paradise in the heart of a village full of history. The rooms were clean, the breakfast was plentiful with natural and organic products. A big thank you to Mr Hovhannes.
