Wonderful hotel, perfect views, infinity pool is breathtaking. We had super dinner, wonderful spa experience. Nothing to add here. To come back and back ... WOW! Some negativez, sorry: In the morning no towels next to the pool, breakfast service was not far from horrible: no attention, 20 minutes of wait to get parts of your order or to get it at all (uncomparable with perfect dinner service). And a very strange thing missing... details... attention to the client. Valentine’s day: maybe a rose in a room. Welcome drink: maybe offering a glass of champagne instead of avocado smoothie.. Sleeping: a candle, chocolate or sleeping mask. Whatever. Honestly, attention in details is really missing!

Everything was perfect. The room was comfortable , spacious and clean. The kind staff helped us with luggage and parked our car inside. Breakfast is brilliant. The pool is an absolute Jewel. A must visit hotel indeed!

So there’s a lot of reasons I’m giving this hotel 2 stars.. I had a series of unpleasant events happen while I was there. First. After a 3 hour flight and 1 hour drive from the airport in a rental car zig zagging up a mountain at night we finally arrive. It was not clear where we should park but apparently anywhere.. when checking into the hotel I gave the concierge my card to validate the reservation.. meaning I physically reached into my wallet and pulled my card out and gave it to him. After he printed a form for the reservation to be signed he hands it to my husband .. We look at each other in confusion and my husband hands me the reservation to sign because it was under my form of payment.. we get our room key and check into our room and we had not eaten all day.. so we head down to the restaurant downstairs and I’m in comfortable clothes because yes I was traveling all day.. the host takes us back to where we will be seated a woman comes running behind us and tells me I need to change because my attire isn’t formal enough.. and she said it loudly.. I was super embarrassed. Yes I wasn’t dressed as nice as I should have been for the restaurant but I didn’t know.. the concierge just told us there was a restaurant but didn’t tell me anything about a dress attire.. so we’re starving and we go back up to our room and I change into a dress and heels.. after a long day of flights and driving through a foreign country.. I’m waking in heels feeling so tired and still embarrassed.. my husband changed as well to make me feel better.. We sat down to eating dinner the waiter tells us of the wine selection and offers to let us try it before he serves it to us and we agree. He comes back to the table and pours the first wine to try in a glass and hands it to my husband.. and nothing to me.. my husband says he likes it and I ask if I can try it too. I’m not sure if the waiter ignored me or didn’t hear me but he grabs our wine glasses already on the table and pours us both.. I had no say in weather or not I liked the wine.. I was kind of insulted.. and I didn’t like the wine.. did this three more times.. and it really ruined my experience at the restaurant.. the food was also mediocre.. out bill was a little over $200 and not worth it but there was nothing else to eat.. we’re we’re on op of a mountain so it wasn’t like we could go anywhere. There are no activities at the hotel besides the pool and restaurant. The minimum stay here is 2 days so the next day we spent all day in the pool.. and after awning all day we were hungry.. we ordered room service to avoid the overpriced mediocre restaurant down stairs. We got 2 turkey sandwiches with fried and the total was about $60 I don’t remember. It was charged to the room so I didn’t worry about it at the time.. My last I pleasant experience was when we were checking out. They pulled up the beautiful BMW I rented to the front entrance of the hotel. I walk up to the valet and smile and tell him thank you so much. He looks at me, gives me the fakest smile, and walks right past me to my husband and hands him the keys.. my husband smiles and says thank you then walks over to me and gives me the keys.. at this point it becomes clear to me what’s going on.. and I still hate to think this but I really feel like the staff at this hotel acted this way towards me because I was a woman.. handing my credit card to my husband.. the keys to my husband.. whether or not it’s true that’s is how they made me feel.. needless to say I WILL NOT BE BACK.. not to Hotel Villa Honegg or Switzerland’s for that matter.. my whole experience in the country just felt like a waste and I’m truly sad about it.. a place I dreamed of visiting.. while beautiful.. was a huge waste of time and money for me..

We booked a corner suite at Villa Hong for 5 nights. Having stayed in many of Switzerland's best hotels this looked perfect. The views are outstanding and the corner infinity pool shown on many an Instagram post and were as good as expected. Our suite was small, rather cluttered and disappointingly the balconies only had 2 stools on them. The biggest surprise was the total lack of anticipation to any of our needs. We had to ask for just about everything. Salad but no dressing, pasta but not parmesan, bread but no olive oil etc. The dinner menu was limited. We had a number of "Faulty Towers" moments which made us wonder what on earth was going on. The service was chaotic. . Lunch on the terrace the following day had the same dinner menu. When asked we were offered the bar menu. Again we had to ask. Breakfast was served at the table (Covid is sadly invading every aspect of our lives). This was basic. Rosti came late and no pork products. Management stayed in front office so seemed to have little idea what was going on. The hotel has a beautiful terrace for drinks but cushions were removed while we were having a sundowner and put away. (no rain forecast). The sunbeds around the pool similarly had cushions taken off and we saw guests helping themselves from the storage boxes. At CHF1500 a night! We would have mentioned these things when paying the bill however they did not even ask if we had enjoyed our stay!

One of the best hotels I have visited. Wow. Driving up the curvy road with the sound of cowbells and the mountains and trees as scenery, you know it’s special. Not the biggest rooms, but nicely set up and outfitted. Bed was quite comfortable. The balcony was wonderful. The cows in the field near provided the soundtrack of cowbells and the view was amazing. The food was great. Breakfast was delicious. The tray includes meat, cheese, fruit, and jam. You also get a smoothie, muesli, and a basket of breads and other bakery treats. You can also order off a menu including chocolate filled crepes and egg dishes. So tasty and on the terrace with a beautiful view. We also had dinner and the entrees were quite good. Room service was nice enough to bring my dessert separately from the main dishes. So thoughtful! The gym is small but nicely outfitted (and best feature is you can open the windows!). There is an indoor and outdoor pool. The outdoor pool is hands down one of the best pools I’ve experienced. The views are just gorgeous. There are also multiple seating areas in the pool with bubbles (you can turn on). The outdoor pool is nicely heated so a treat to visit anytime. The pool bar offers wine and beer (in nice pool friendly plexiglass glasses). You can access multiple very pretty hiking/walking trails right outside the hotel. So nice to wander into the forest and you get some great views at the top. There is outdoor or garage parking included. Wi-Fi seemed nice and fast. The staff was all very nice and helpful. Thank you for a wonderful stay. We will be back!
