This place is a great ski in ski out location for a single family with a pet! A short walk to the village down the slope. We stayed in suite 8 and had a private hot tub with nice mountain views. Absolute bonus having 2 bathrooms too having a small baby it was a nice feature. The staff was very friendly, only minor issue I had was the gentleman maintaining the hot tub. He asked if I had small kids and if they were rolling around in the snow then jumping back in the hot tub because it was extremely dirty. Upon going in the hot tub the next day after he cleaned it I noticed bits of brown that looked like dirt all in the hot tub again. The brown bits were from the waterlogged/ deteriorating hot tub cover that should have been replaced because it weighs 100 pounds and is hard to lift up for 1 person. The couch and dishes could also use an upgrade too. Overall I was very pleased with this place and will likely be a returning customer.....as for the hot tub issue, it doesn’t bother me too much but I certainly won’t allow my children to get in trouble for something that wasn’t their fault. :-) Once again , thank you for the great time! The ladies at the front were more then accommodating too as they let out children use the lounge area to watch a movie as we had friends staying in different suites there too!

We had 2 families of 4 stay in Suite #2 for a week over spring break for some fun skiing. Booking was easy and pre-arrival questions were all promptly answered by email. The front desk was very helpful with the hotel and also routes to/from the village, shuttles and various ski runs. The Kelowna airport shuttle drove us right up to the front door. Suite 2 was renovated not too long ago and is a very cozy loft style space. You do have to walk up 2 flights of stairs to get to the room, so it's not for the faint of heart, especially if you are bringing lots of ski gear. The master bedroom has an ensuite bath and small shower. The A shaped angle of the walls in the master bedroom makes it a bit difficult to walk around the bed without bending over a bit. There is also a second full sized room and a separate full bath and larger shower. I also had some hot water issues when both showers were running at the same time at around 4-5pm (when all the ski lifts are closed). Both bedrooms had very comfy beds and pillows. The kitchen was perfect for our cooked meals and it's easy to ski back to the suite for quick lunches. All the appliances were very new. The BBQ in the backyard was a bit weak when all the burners were on. I couldn't find any proper BBQ utensils in the kitchen. The 4 kids in our group totally enjoyed the upstairs loft area. When we had the fireplace on to dry some of our wet gloves and jackets, it did get a bit warm up top (the fan was helpful). The views of the ski runs from the family room area are fantastic with the tall windows (lots of morning sun, so use the blinds), and the private hot tub is great. Because there was so much snow this winter (most snow in 16 years!), it was a bit challenging to walk to and from the village if you take the shortcut and walk around both Silver Creek Lodge and Chilcoot Lodge. Going to the village is easier since it's downhill, but it's a bit of a uphill climb coming back (about a 10 min walk). It's also a short walk to the tube park/skating rink (walk on Pinnacles Road is easiest, about 15 mins). In the mornings, skiing to the village only takes 2-3 mins along Chalet Alley (bottom portion skis like a green run). You have to get to Vance Creek summit to return home, we took Milky Way (or Show Off/Face) and cut across to Chalet Alley, which leads you right to the back door. If you are coming from Attridge, best to take Christmas Bowl and start to traverse over Bib's bumps/Souther cross/Turnaround, until you get the Chalet Alley. The private ski locker is conveniently located just beneath the suite. The locker room isn't heated, so your skis won't melt overnight (keep that mind when you packing to leave on the last ski day). They are supposed to be building a brand new gondola lift in summer of 2018 that goes from the village to the summit. Internet wifi was very fast, Speedtest showed 75 Mbps download, and 8Mbps upload (plenty of speed for those who need internet for work, surfing, videos, etc). Cable tv worked well. They supply salt/pepper, dish washer detergent, kleenex, toilet paper, soap/shampoo and a small amount of coffee (first day only for coffee). The washer and dryer is very modern. Overall a very enjoyable stay, would highly recommend for large families (dog friendly) that want a ski in/ski out.

We stayed in Pinnacles suite 4 and had the most amazing experience. The views, the hot tub, the alpine decor and fire place all added to the perfect accommodation. It was clean and had everything we needed for our family of 5. The staff were friendly and very accommodating too. We will definately choose to stay there again next time.

I never write reviews in the past. But I am very upset about this Suite and the customer service. POOR! This suite is located about 30 min away from Vernon. It is located in top hill. Very high and steep hill. Almost took us 25 min to drive from the bottom to the top of the hill. Not convenient at all. There is no air conditioning in the suite. There are only 2 rooms which can fit 4 people. It is very hot sleeping in the loft area. This suite can accommodate 11 people. So out of 11, 7 people will have to sleep in the loft which is very uncomfortable. There is only one fan in the loft and it is very loud. Some of us choose to sleep in the sofa instead. What makes me upset is the hotel charged me an additional $100 for not cleaning the kitchen via my credit card without my consent. 1) There is no written terms and conditions about cleaning when I book the suite online 2) There is no check in procedures at all. Nothing was mentioned about the cleaning and the penalty. Even I checked in late, nothing about the cleaning policy was mentioned the next day. I got charged without any VERBAL OR WRITTEN CONSENT. I am not aware of it. If I know that there is a policy of cleaning up after the kitchen use and the penalty, I would not book this suite, or use the kitchen, or I would clean it up after use to avoid the penalty. THIS IS SO UNFAIR. I felt being cheated. 3) When I checked out, nothing was mentioned about the cleaning. Also, the staff did not inspect the suite. I got charged via credit card after I checked out a few hours later. She sent me an email with a picture showing a note of the policy and penalty was posted in the SIDE WALL OF THE FRIDGE. Very Strange. Common sense people will know that they should post it in the FRONT DOOR OF THE FRIDGE NOT THE SIDE WALL. POST IT IN SOMEWHERE THAT IS EYE CATCHING. Feeling so being cheated, why do they not telling me instead of putting up note in not eye catching area. I DID NOT SEE THAT NOTE. You don't put note to tell people if a penalty is involved. What happen if they miss seeing it or I doubt if it is actually there when we arrive???? What a trap! Some hotels has kitchen as well and no cleaning needs to be done. If I am not told, how can they charge me?

Response from The Pinnacles S, General Manager at The Pinnacles Suite Hotel
Responded Aug 16, 2017
To all discerning readers, past and future guests: below is my response to the guest who booked through Expedia on Expedia reviews. This review is unfounded and slanderous. The location and description of the Suite are correctly listed on Expedia, as well as the posted policy in full view in each Suite regarding leaving dirty dishes for housekeeping upon departure. Dear Maria, I had the pleasure of serving you when you stayed recently. We have thousands of people and repeat guests who happily stay in The Pinnacles’ Suites during the Summer and Winter at Silver Star Mountain Resort. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to address each of your points specifically: 1. Location: Expedia has The Pinnacles' location and distances to The Pinnacles at Silver Star Mountain Resort from Vernon correct. You do need to drive uphill to get to this mountain resort. 2. Room Description: Expedia has Suite #1 that you reserved listed as Two Bedrooms with Lofts (3 Queen Beds and 5 single beds), which sleep up to 11 people, which is correct. I would have readily answered any questions you had regarding the 2 lofts and bed configurations to make sure they were suitable for your group had you inquired. 3. Check-In: We spoke on the phone a few times regarding your arrival. When you phoned to let me know that it would be after 11pm, I said there would be a check-in package awaiting you in our Guest Reception. You arrived close to midnight and I got out of bed to help direct you to your Suite. In the morning when you came to register we spoke pleasantly and I gave you information regarding The Pinnacles and the Vernon area. 4. There are no Vacation homes at Silver Star Mountain Resort that have air conditioning - The Pinnacles included. 5. In the kitchens on the fridges in all Suites there's a bright laminated sign which is very hard to miss that clearly states if you choose to leave your dishes upon departure for housekeeping to clean there will be a $100.00 charge. You left all dishes and cookware for 11 people dirty on the dining table and counter. The charge posted was applied to your credit card. An email with receipt and image of the policy posted was sent. Sincerely, Destanne Norris, General Manager
