Occasionally by accident one finds something very special. This is such a place. Run by two intelligent and kind brothers who have done an amazing job on restoring a noble house vacated by the Italian family in the early 80's, CC is tranquil, idiosyncratic and thoughtful. Genuinely friendly staff made our 6 night stay there totally unforgettable and to swim...

We stayed here for two nights with seven other couples exploring Sicily on a Backroads biking trip. Our room was spacious and lovely with a view looking out over the pool and the verdant rolling hills. Outside our bedroom was a lovely sitting room with another two rooms adjoining it. Dinner was very good and included a tasty octopus starter,...

Beautiful setting and location. Enthusiastic staff. Not enough people to provide a 5 star service though and no way is it a resort!. They need to go and stay at a 4 Seasons or the Belmond to see what service is really all about. For example, we asked for towels for the pool. They were brought, we used them, left...

Beautifully restored Castello in wonderful countryside. The main house contains the reception area, a lovely lounge and, upstairs a beautiful dining room (of which more later). When our travel company (Long Travel - highly recommended) initially booked for three nights, they had to come back to us because, having been told they had availability, they then found they hadn't. We...

Dear Woody4, Thank you in advance for your review, we really appreciate listen and understand the points of view of our guests. We regret that there have been some misunderstandings but we announced at Long Travel Agency that there would be a wedding, but they don’t have required consideration. We don’t have any availability during the weddings, The agency doesn’t...

For us this hotel was the most serene and well run establishment we experienced in our time on Sicily. The reception is not just charming and polite but completely professional. Sicily is an amazing part of Italy but sometimes the professional side of catering for guests whether hotel or restaurant is a bit rough if not abrasive. But this Castello...

The design here is like a castle with royal furniture and the view from rooms is amazing. However, service was under what we expected. Hence, we just had a lunch on first day there and others at restaurants in the town later on.

Castello Camemi was our first stop on our six day cycling tour of southeast Sicily. The rooms were large and spotless and the staff friendly. The grounds were immaculate and I loved the view of Mt Etna from the breakfast room. The dinner was very good and the wine selection replete with Sicilian vintages. My only complaints were poor air...

You could not wish for a better Castle location and location. The views are to die for and rooms are very well equipped. The Castle is obviously geared to hosting event and weddings, they made a good stab at the food but the quality was not there and the service was poor. We would have preferred to eat in a...

We stayed here for 3 nights as a base to visit family in a nearby town, the only downside of this accommodation is that it isn't close to much. However that is more than made up for by the spectacular property that this is situated on, as well as the truly stunning old style castle that houses the accommodation. The...

Once you get through the front gate and drive down the long 2 kilometer driveway, you start to see a stone Castle in the distant and yes that’s your new home for the night. Walking through the front door awakens all your senses. The stone work is magnificent and yet not overwhelming. There can be a small language barrier with...
