My partner and I stayed here for two nights and it was horrible. The guy below us was banging on the roof every time we would walk across the floor. The slightest sound would set him off. Security showed up to our door at 3am because they had a noise complaint from the floor we were on. We had been asleep since midnight and it was pretty crappy to be woken up at this time ecpecally on our first night. We had decide to book this room for Valentine’s Day and it was honestly the biggest waste of money. I’m more relaxed and get a better sleep at the Hostel up here. The room was nice and clean and the housekeepers were nice.

We opted for one of the cheaper rooms available when we booked as we weren’t anticipating spending much time in it over the weekend. The photos for the room appeared to show a kitchenette, however this proved misleading... Our outdated suite had a fridge with freezer and coffeemaker but nothing more in the cupboards shown. Strangely there was a toaster, yet not a single plate, fork or knife that one might use for the food they may be toasting. Two coffee cups, two water glasses & spoons for coffee was all the “kitchenette” bore. You could see attempts at updating the place- cork flooring, new vanity in the bathroom and a fresh-ish coat of paint (including amateur spots on the ceiling) but much of the room still shows it’s age. It was clean however. While we had extra funds to drink away as a result of booking a cheaper room I’m not sure I would be as thrifty in the future.

This place is in the best position of all Big Whites properties, with close proximity to most restaurants, grocery store, ski hire, lessons and shops as well as ski in/out. It also has a ski lift to the front door when ending your days skiing. The rooms are spacious, clean and quiet (within reason) as this is an old property but is kept well. Free wi-fi and cable TV. It would be the best priced property in Big White as well, so I highly recommend staying here.

We just left a 7 day stay at this hotel. It was our first time to Big White Resort, but certainly not our last. We booked our trip to Big White later then normal so there wasn’t many options available for what we wanted. Overall, our experience and Accom was actually a lot better than I expected. Highlights - The location is the best on mountain, period! 20 meters from the Plaza chair - Ski school and main clock tower building is 30 second walk - The Supermarket is downstairs - All good bars and restaurants are within a minutes walk in any direction - We were in a third level two bedroom self contained unit with up mountain views - The kitchen facilities were excellent and all we needed to cook dinners and lunches etc when required - The bedrooms were spacious enough - The living room was larger then expected and very comfortable - Car tv and video games were terrific - Hot tub and sauna are good and adequate. Never had an issue getting a spot. Negatives - The ONLY issue we had is that the building is a little older so it can be quite noisy at times. Mainly at night and from above. After getting to know a few crews during arvo hot tub sessions, it’s apparent that the Accom is filled up with some locals from Kelowna who own units, holiday makers like us and staff that work on the mountain. With the later, that means some in house partying at times, which is cool but can provide a bit of noise if your a light sleeper (like my wife). - Big White is a dog friendly resort which we like as dog people, however one night the dogs from each unit were barking and carrying on a bit. Not a big issue but could piss some people off. Overall, we had a great week. Very enjoyable family resort with mellow runs. The Accom is excellent and moderate level Accom. Very comfortable. We would stay here again for the right price and early bird deal.

5-day ski trip to Big White, with accommodation in a studio room at Whitefoot Lodge. While building is somewhat dated, it is very clean & well cared for. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay - (I) location is phenomenal - truly a ski-in, ski-out and only steps to bars, restaurants, and grocery; (II) our unit had a full kitchen - complete with everything required to make meals in-house (ie paper towels, wash cloths, multiple utensils and dishes, starter dish detergent, etc); (III) outdoor hot-tub, while small, is amazing and was never crowded during our stay (on average maybe 4-5 people per usage interval); and (IV) complimentary underground parking was appreciated. A very (very, very) minor annoyance was the smoke detector which was directly beside our stove & went off several times while cooking. In summary, we enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back. The studio units are quite small & compact - but certainly “doable” and comfortable for a 2-person stay. Met many friendly Aussie and New Zealand guests at the hotel - all of whom were fantastic. White Foot Lodge, thanks for a great stay! Looking forward to our next visit - 5/5
