I must say I am sorry to write this review because I have stayed at the Quality Inn many times in the past and I have always been satisfied. However my recent stay was terrible. I was flying home from Cancun and the flight arrived shortly after 1 a.m. By the time I arrived at the hotel and in my room it was about 1:45 a.m. The room was in the lower level of the hotel which needs much needed attention and improvements. My room which cost me $185.00 was freezing cold. The heat had not been turned up even though the room was fully paid for. The floors were freezing cold and I was hoping to have a hot bath after a long day of traveling but that was not feasible. I turned the heat up but the room was going to take some time to reach a decent temperature. My bed was so cold that I ended up crawling in wearing my winter clothing I had travelled in. Even then I was still cold and shivering. I curled up and hoped to fall asleep as I had a two hour drive the next morning and due to a snow storm the day before I had to dig my car out before my departure. So I made the best of what I was faced with. I did not discuss this situation the next morning with the front desk staff as I was tired and just wanted to go home. After a few days at home I wrote to Kari Webber, the front desk manager, and told her of my displeasure with my very cold room. I never had a reply from her so I called. I was told she was in a meeting. She never returned my call. I wrote to Anil, the general manager, and no reply and no phone call. So the Quality Inn at the Halifax Airport is not the same as it was in the past. New owners and from what I can see a lack of customer service. I am sorry that the new management is taking this attitude and showing a lack of care and consideration for their customers. In the future I will stay where I am considered a guest and where I will have a warm and comfortable room. I paid $185.00 for my second stay and also stayed before my trip. I am 79 years old and I have travelled a good many times in my lifetime but I must say this recent stay at the Quality Inn on March 2nd will rank as one of my worst. You know there is nothing better than word of mouth advertising and the management at Quality Inn seem to have overlooked this.

Hotel's Favorite
I called this hotel and another to look at booking before and after our down south trip. Customer service on the phone was great at this place so I booked it over the other hotel, they were just super warm and friendly. Airport is across the street with a free shuttle so that's awesome. It was free to leave your car here for the week. My only complain and it's not the hotels fault, is that we booked a seat on the shuttle to the airport at 2:15pm, we were the first ones waiting by 2pm with another senior couple who also booked a spot for that time. When it arrived a big group of people rushed the shuttle bus and no seats were left. I wished they confirmed who had a seat booked at that time. It was only about an additional 15 minute wait but just frustrating as I'm not about to push and shove my way on as some people feel it's ok to act like that. Due to covid we were able to book a pool time and had the pool for just my family, pool was super clean and nice and warm and a great start to our vacation. Our return flight was really late and we didn't arrive until 7am and went right to bed, Just before checkout I asked about getting coffee as we missed the breakfast (which was awesome - had it on the day before we left for our trip) and they had little breakfast bags made up with french toast sticks maple syrup, yogurt, juice box and an orange and they had a free coffee machine available. We really appreciated this after our super long travel day the day before. Beds are AMAZING and staff are really personable and kind, especially the guy and girl working there this past Friday. Definitely recommend staying here.

- Their Park/Stay/Fly deal is not as advertised. - Their Shuttle is first come first serve - they will not hold your promised spot on the shuttle bus. - Taxi. Over 20 clients had to call in private taxi cabs - the shuttle service can only take about 8 person at a time. Many reported to the airport less than 2 hours before their international flight to Cancun (Sunwing WG505 was the flight who got compromised by this Quality Inn. - The driver lost one suitcase, the rear door was left open before departing. - Suitacase. Poor 70+ old lady saw her suitcase tumble on the road at over 50km/hr. I had to quickly jump in the rear cargo compartment to hold everyones suitcase.

Booked it for another nice soak in their hot-tub...Unfortunately, it was broken down! And..they said they are NEVER going to fix it or replace it. Will have to find a new hotel to stay at. The restaurant is ridiculously overpriced for food and drinks.

I stayed at Quality Inn Airport in Halifax on feb 14th; we were told it would be busy in the am as my flight was at 0800. The next morning, I was ready by 0530 to take shuttle for 5:45 but when I got downstairs, there was already close to 50ppl waiting for shuttle service. I was clearly not gonna make it to airport with the 2hrs suggested time of arrival. Quality Inn staff knew how many people required shuttle to the airport that morning and only allowed max 9ppl onboard. We were not offered to take a 2nd shuttle of any kind. I decided to pick up my car from parking (which was about 1km walk) and take it to airport, which I then had to pay for 1wk parking. No managment on site, no taxi or other mode of transportation. My suggestion is: don't count on shuttle to take you to the airport on time; have a second plan or don t stay there because it 's cheaper with free parking.

Three days and two nights here with no soap, and no towel change was enough. I wrote a scathing review, received a reply from the general manager, inviting us back again. We did go back again, one week later, and ask for a are you straight because of my previous bad experience and the letter from the manager inviting us to try it again. Lady at the front desk said she knew nothing about it. Was a lie because she was the one who checked us in the first time. I asked the general manager if we could get a discounted rate for coming back and give us a lower rate for coming back.He said we could speak to the manager Kara in the morning. I did only to realize we were charged $35 more for coming back than we were for the two previous Terrible experiences. They simple do not care !! Five stars to the breaky and restaurant.

Good news first. Staff are very friendly and professional. Outstanding. Can’t say enough. Bad news, the room we stayed in was so bad, we left and stayed at another property nearby. They had no body soap, we called the front desk and they told us they left more shampoo instead (1). The chair in the room had a disgusting stain as if someone was eating a donair which the “sauce” dripped on the fabric. We flipped the cushion over and the same sort of “mess” was on the other side. Too crude to leave a picture. The room had no TP, called down and they told us to come down to the front desk. There was so much body hair in the room, even in the bed. How? This property needs to step up their game.

Booked into Quality Inn for the nite after arriving from Newfoundland as have stayed here before….A lot of the hotel has been renovated but for whatever reason they have the bottom floor open and renting out the rooms for the same price as the other floors is absurd…It is disgusting and dirty and has an odour of sewer…Walls are marked, doors are broken and just overall dirty….This section should be completely closed and done over before ripping people off by putting them down there…Won’t be staying again anytime soon..

There was a power outage that we were not notified about prior to check-in. There was no hot water, no emergency lighting, no help with luggage, no flashlight could b provided, would charge cell phone with their generators and poor service overall. Did they offer any sort of discount for the lack of service, not a thing!
