I booked a couple of weeks at the Pint on Punt so that I could settle in and get the lay of the land in Melbourne. Not only were the prices affordable, but the staff were helpful (reception is awesome). Also, there's a pub downstairs under the same ownership. Because of this, us backpackers got deals on food and drinks....

Great selection of beers and value for money pub-grub. Good back room for private events and functions. Great band - two guys playing guitars and singing! They were even taking requests for songs Didn't realise that it was actually a hotel

I've stayed here previously two times when I've been passing through Melbourne and it's literally just an average place to stay. Rooms are not exactly modern, bit run down but it does the job. Unfortunately my stay this time wasn't enjoyable, I booked a private room after 30 hours of travel from England and this year round the Irish girl...

Hi there, I am truly saddened to read this review! I am sure that you can understand as a busy hostel in the summer period that we are at full capacity nearly every night. Check out time is at 10am, this means that there is someone in the room you are due to check into that needs to check out...

Stayed here for 3 nights in a private room. Friendly staff & free breakfast in the morning was provided & fair quality. Bathrooms and toilets were clean. Not too bad a location for CBD or St Kilda. Only negatives would be the noise (thin walls!) & our window rattling!! Room needed a spruce but I've found this is normal standard...

Stayed there for 2 nights. Room was smelling of old cigarette smoke. Kitchen not super clean. Shower and toilets were ok. Breakfast was only bread and jam and Weet-bix. Staff was friendly and helpful. Hostel is not too far from the city centre (taxi ride around 15-20$) Is ok for a few nights when visiting Melbourne.

Rude Attitude and poor service. Will not re-visit this Backpacker again because other backpackers in the city that provide even better service than it. Posted all nice pictures but it was rated as an average level in terms of hostel environment and cleanliness. Able to get even better quality hostel than this from the city

Budget rooms above hotel. Bit old and rundown, but clean and comfortable. Nice staff and discounted good meals from restaurant in the hotel downstairs However they claim to have AC but that was not the case in the rooms Only a fan and an open window Locks on doors were old and inadequate. Bunks aren't safe as no side rail...

We didn't stay at this place but did have a evening meal here in the bar area. This hotel has a different $15 special meal each night of the week. The night we visited was steak night and that is what we all ordered the atmosphere was what you would expect at any pub bar/bistro The service was reasonable quick,...

Me and my boyfriend checked in on Melbourne cup day. We were greeted buy lovely friendly staff. Laura at reception is a saint very helpful and goes the extra mile to help out. Our room is clean and tidy. Only complaint not enough fridges for occupants. Highly recommend to fellow backpackers great place to meet new people :)

I have seen a few hostels by now in melbourne and the Pint fOn Punt ist the one with the most famliar atmosphere. The kitchen and bathrooms are a little bit worn out but I didn´t care about that much. I wanted to go there again but unfortunately they were completely full. So it is the best to book early!
