My wife and I spent a glorious two nights at the Boutique Hotel Torre di Cala Piccola. This is really all about the views--from the infinity pool you can see clear out to the ocean with Monte Argentario's lovely jutting rocks. It's a very relaxing place to spend a few days. We also found the service excellent and the staff very helpful and friendly. The food, as others have said, is absolutely fine if not extraordinary, though you should expect to pay resort prices. (Breakfast, which is included, is a very nice buffet.) But then, you didn't come here for the Michelin stars, did you? The only irritating thing about the stay was the other guests, some of whom were extremely rude Americans who are used to always having their way. Our interactions with them were blessedly minimal, but I pity the poor hotel staff who must repeat, ad nauseam, the most basic of realities. All in all, this is a slice of Tuscan heaven on earth. Highly recommended!

Really nice hotel; fantastic location and great service. We recently stayed for 4 nights - the setting of this hotel is stunning, and probably the best view on the Monte Argentario. Our room was nice, with a fantastic view - although sparsely furnished and an incredibly tiny shower. However we didn’t spend much time in the room. Although others have complained about service and slowness at the bar, we found service to be great there - quick and very friendly. Access to the beach club was easy (they will take you down and pick you up on demand) - and the beach club had plenty of umbrellas and loungers, and an awesome setting. Food was good both at the beach club and at the hotel. Everyone was friendly. If you stay there for more than a few days, you might find that the menu is limited (there were no specials when we ate there, so the menu didn’t change). Breakfast was fine, but could get a little crowded on occasion. We would definitely come back again - our only suggestion to the hotel is to consider offering a more casual menu in the bar area for dinner as an option to the slightly more formal restaurant.

I will soon complete six nights here having extended through the weekend. My trip took an unexpected turn when I suffered a medical issue while traveling alone that left me suddenly immobile and in considerable pain. Italy’s reputation for hospitality came shining through in so many employees of this hotel who went above and beyond in helping me recuperate. The hotel seemed to come together just to make me as comfortable as possible. I was moved to a new room minimizing any excess walking that was next to the lobby whereas my previous room required that I painfully scale at least a couple dozen stairs. I was also driven in the hotel van and physically helped by two hotel staff to be treated in a pharmacy some kilometers away in town. A local nurse was also arranged who visited me over the next three days to administer additional medicine. The hotel administrator, hotel manager, numerous front desk staff, housekeeping, hotel driver, room service and porters all kindly asked after my health either in my chance encounters with them or their calls to my room for that purpose alone. I have never felt so looked after while traveling. My family and friends were given much peace of mind since they lived in other parts of the country or overseas altogether. Traveling is such a gift, but when that ability to move is removed, I am grateful to have found myself here among this capable staff where I felt safe and looked after and able to heal.

Very nice location with great views of Ligurian sea. Quiet, good place to relax. Good beach(rocks), at the bottom of the hill, take the car if you do. It want to have steep walk back. Restaurant is ok, although you want better option nearby. Connectivity is a bit of an issue, if you want to be connected(mobile or WiFi)

My husband and I spent a beautiful holiday at the Boutique Hotel Torre di Cala Piccola. The views of the Giglio and Giannutri islands are breathtaking and beautiful. The pool is also a must-see and must-use as it has a unique and distinctive feature. Everyone was gentle and welcoming.

Location is stunning but that’s about it. Room had one small closet with 5 hangers for 3 people staying for more then a week. No drawers at all!!! Lifegard at swimming pool extremely unfriendly and rude. Every day a very unwelcome feeling. Shower in pool smelled everyday of urine. Service for drinks etc slow and expensive. Breakfast quite chaotic and takes ages to get some coffee. Fresh fruits and nuts were nice. The team at the beach was fantastic. Bar and restaurant there has excellent food and drinks for good prices. Beach team very professional, helpful and friendly. Very nice for children. Everything superclean.

The location is wonderful and the service has been excellent. We found just 2 minor downsides: - the access to the closest beach , cala piccola, is limited- but that has been an opportunity to discover other nice places! - the minibar of the room had only few bottles of water If we’ll come back to Argentario, we’ll visit this place again for sure

Thank you for your review, which fills us with pride and satisfaction. We have taken into consideration your observations, even if unfortunately the restrictions imposed by the current situation have not allowed us to fully demonstrate what the Boutique Hotel Torre di Cala Piccola can offer. The rules regarding social distancing have penalized the use of our cove. However, customers have the opportunity to discover the area and take advantage of partner beaches in Giannella and Feniglia, where our concierge service takes care of reservations based on customer choice and availability. Even the poorly stocked minibar, unfortunately, is due to the same regulations and restrictions of recent times. We hope to welcome you again in a more peaceful time to give us the opportunity to make you live an unforgettable experience

Cala Piccola is one of the most beautiful areas of Monte Argentario. The hotel could be really fantastic but is let down by poor service, sub par rooms, noise and a poor quality restaurant. The junior suite that we booked was on top of the restaurant, noisy and all the smells of smoke and fried food coming into the room. When asked to change we were told only for 900 a night. The restaurant is touristy quality and disappointing. The beach that the hotel is affiliated with is really beautiful, and the restaurant there is fantastic, both for lunch and dinner! We’ve stayed in almost every hotel in Argentario and this one was our biggest let down.

Pros: Stunning location Staff were all very nice but only opened up with a good bit of British charm. Seriously lacking at this hotel. Cons: Bathroom was very old and worn. For the price you pay one would expect a first rate bathing experience; this did little more than match a 80 euro a night or worse bathroom. Photos show this. Top end bathrooms and I might return. Breakfast was a bit miserly. Claiming to be a four star hotel you need to get the egg girls out doing eggs of your choice in the breakfast room and not charging 4 euros for a freshly boiled egg or 8 euros for fried eggs. How many eggs could you buy for 8 euros. Come on. Eight euros for a beer. Crivens. Upon check out, we did indeed check the bill and to our surprise two charges for the beach. Two days prior Before we had arrived they rang me, up selling the beach spaces and I politely declined. This was again declined at check in. So how two 15 Euro charges were placed on the bill really puzzles me. One has to select a day and time for a booking. We did neither; I must conclude this can’t be a mistake. Not a bad game at 30 euros a customer if you can get away with it. This sort of behaviour ranks very, very low amongst the wines and spirits Jeeves.
