The hotel was very clean. Our room was a good size with a beautiful view. Breakfast was nice. If you are a diver, the beach & dive club are minutes away. The staff were excellent. My husband lost a filling and with the help of the cleaners, receptionist & managers, he was collected from the hotel & driven to a dentist within hours! Our only complaint was the transport from the hotel to Naples center. The driver didn't know where he was going which, I am sure, increased the fare by about €15 - it would have been more if I hadn't insisted he turn his engine off every time he took a wrong route & had to go & ask for directions.
We have stayed at hotels in Naples, Sorrento and Amalfi but wanted to book something less touristy. We chose the area as we wanted to visit Baiai and other nearby archeological sites and chose the hotel based on its location and ratings. We weren't disappointed. The hotel is charming as are the staff who couldn't be more helpful. There is a beautiful beach 2 minutes away (which during the week is virtually empty) and there are good friendly welcoming restaurants nearby. The bus stop is across the road and train station is a 10 min stroll. We enjoyed our stay so much we will be returning next year.
Thanks to Trip Advisor reviews we chose this hotel which is just outside of Pozzuoli itself. We got a taxi transfer from Naples airport via the hotel, about €30 each way. A medium sized hotel, with stunning sea views from some rooms, old fashioned furniture -no matter, quiet, kind helpful staff, towels changed every day, breakfast fairly simple, and within 5 minutes walk to a train station into Pozzuoli (10 mins on train) and other areas. Supermarket just nearby hotel. Walk up hill 15 mins to the local Volcano crater Campe Flegrei which blew up wiping out the town of Tripergola (not sure when). You can walk down into. Lots of sites to see around Pozzuoli and also Baia. Italian people friendly and helpful. I have given this hotel 4 stars but it deserves 5 stars, apart from our bed which although it was a superking big bed, it was a hardish orthopaedic mattress. Dont expect loads of toiletries but they did provide small drinks fridge in our room which was a double sea view. Shower good, bathroom large with a bidet too. Would recommend for its basics and location. We did not hire a car so walked or took handy train. Taxi from Pozzuoli back to hotel good price at €10. Reception small area, nice staff, and a big thanks to Gennaro our support for gluten free food advice and local restaurants etc."La Cucina Degli Amici" restaurant in Pozzuoli excellent & gluten free. Eat pizza........... its outstanding! Eat pasta, its gorgeous and of course eat FISH.... masses of wet fish shops in the area and fishermen out in boats in harbour. Amphitheatre in Pozzuoli awesome. Thermal Baths in Baia area stunning.…
This hotel feels a little old-fashioned, but we loved it just as it is. Quiet, comfortable, and very convenient location. Wonderful breakfast buffet is included with a large and varied selection. We also ate one dinner here and the food was excellent. Helpful staff gave us good recommendations for local restaurants.
Staying at La Tripergola was , again, superbe. Gennaro is very friendly and forthcoming with helping when you organize a trip. The rooms provide ample space, are clean and have a breathtaking view (the fotos have been taken from the rooftop siting area though). There is also a restaurant in house, which is highly recommended as there aren't that many in the area nearby. If you don't feel like going far after a long trip or journey, this is the place to go. We had two vegan people in our group for whom the staff outdid itself! Very nice indeed.
