Very friendly staff and clean rooms . Nice art work , next door cafeteria with a large menu . Safe parking lot . Air conditioner and breakfast included for a very accesible price. You will enjoy with the balcony and all the city life near at the city streets .

This hotel was clean, with good wifi, in a handy location in town and has secure parking. Great little cafe next door with good food.

The downside was the lack of any external windows and noise. Our room only had a window onto a central atrium which can be quite noise if anyone is sitting and talking - as was the case when we were there from 5am.

I stayed 4 nights and was impressed by the comfort of the room. It was well air conditioned, had a comfortable bed and a clean well-maintained shower. As the room was on the second level well away from the street, it was very quiet. The breakfast was basic but included the best coffee I have ever tasted.

Let me start out by saying, there are not a lot of options in Chinandega when it comes to hotels, it is just not a regular tourist destination. That said, I had reserved a room well in advance for my wife and I, we were planning on spending time with her family whom live in Chinandega. Upon arrival I was told that my rear facing quiet honeymoon suite had in fact been rented so my option was one of the "prison cells" that line the front along a main street, we took it. Now, if you look at my reviews, you'll see that I have spent a great deal of time in Nicaragua and other 3rd world locations so I know what to expect however, for $60usd per night this was unacceptable. The room was dirty, hair in the beds, uncleaned bathroom and the old "widowmaker" hot water heater did not function which is pretty scary as it was still hardwired in. For those unfamilier, this is a showerhead/waterheater combo and famous for electrocutions, you don't see them much anymore even in Nicaragua. My towel was sour which is really gross and the parade of cars, motorcycles and propoganda speaker trucks was non-stop throughout the night. Needless to say, I had no sleep that evening however, to my delight, the free breakfast (tipico) was freshly cooked to order and quite good, I tipped the cook a half days wages ($1.50 usd). My 4 night stay turned into a single night and I headed back to Granada after our visit. If you are desperate for a bed, fine, but if not, look elsewhere unless of course you are stone deaf with poor personal hygeine and comfortable in a room where you can nearly touch both walls at once with outstretched arms =) Your mileage may vary...

As someone who has traveled to other countries and has stayed at five star hotels, Los Balcones has absolutely nothing to envy. The service was outstanding, the hotel very cozy, comfortable and welcoming. I would definately return to stay here.

We stayed here for two nights in a large corner room. The room itself was clean and comfy. The breakfast was basic, fruit, gallo pinto, orange and coffee but all was served with a smile. I would certainly stay here again.

We stay 3 weeks at Los Balcones. Place is awesome. Great customer services. Friendly & Professional Staff. I met Blanca, Lucrecia & Mr. Leonardo - Sec. Guard, very friendly, honest and polite persons. Lucrecia M. was my favorite maid, young and hard working woman. Every day she came to clean my room with a smile on her face. felling very proud of her work.
Place was nice and clean every single day of my stay. COVID-19 procedures in compliance CDC requirements.
LOCATION - BUSY STREET
Love this place. Were planning to stay here in our future trips to Chinandega.
Thank you, Los Balcones.

I just completed my fourth stay at Los Balcones, and it was excellent as always! (I now have spent a total of 30 nights there.) The staff are friendly, professional, and efficient. The facilities are clean and in good condition. The complimentary coffee in the lobby is good, and always available. The complimentary breakfast is good also. The location is unbeatable, and the rates are very reasonable. I'm already planning my next trip, and I will always stay at Hotel Los Balcones!

I've just come back from my third trip to Nicaragua, and third stay at Hotel Los Balcones. The staff are as friendly and professional as ever, the breakfast is good, the coffee is good. So many shops and restaurants nearby. We walked to Parque Central every evening. Can't wait to go again; definitely will stay here again!

This is a quaint Nicaraguan hotel. Inexpensive but clean. Air conditioned rooms. Friendly staff. Good coffee and breakfast. You can't beat it for the price! The atmosphere is cheery and positive. Lots of chairs in the lobby and upstairs lobby. You will like this.
