After reading all the reviews, I decided to take my 14 year old son to Hotel Le Sherpa for half term and we had a lovely stay. To summarize what others have said, I will summarize as succinctly as possible. Pros: Fantastic hotel staff, all absolutely lovely and exceptionally helpful. Great hotel manager, very involved and present in the hotel - she is like a butterfly floating about the hotel :) Ski in - you take the Plein Sud run down and then the second exit on the left which takes you on the path back to the hotel, it is joyous skiing straight into the boot room The hotel is at the top of the town, so it is very easy to walk into town in a couple of minutes Ski Shop is about 40m away, great staff and very convenient Food is heavenly, incredible soups to start, two selections of main courses, lovely French cheese every night and a great dessert buffet four times a week (my son thoroughly enjoyed every meal) - did the half board and breakfast was very satisfying too Crepes on the patio in the afternoon, extremely relaxing and pleasant as you wind down Nice bar and sitting areas with a games cupboard for chilling out in the evening Very clean, rooms were always immaculate on return Quiet, and easy to sleep, beds very comfy Heated towel rack in the room which is great if you want to wash something by hand and dry Early morning light breakfast (4.45am) on the day we left which I didn't know they had. Cons: No in room heating control, so at night it gets very stuffy and we had to leave the balcony door open to feel comfortable Rooms are small, and basic, with not much space for luggage, but they are workable Ski out requires walking out of the boot room, up the hill (about 10m) and then up about another 20m to get to the main slope. You cannot ski, but it takes about 3 mins and a bit of blowing in the altitude, but after a good breakfast it is not too much to ask Small boot room which during rush hour can be a bit awkward, but again, it is completely functional and a very minor issue Tiny elevator which fits about 3 people max, since we used the stairs it is not a big issue and even the first day with our luggage it was workable Bottom line, I would highly recommend the hotel and Skiiing resort, the hotel is French in all the best possible ways and made for a memorable experience.

We stayed 4 nights over the Easter holiday.   The hotel has a nice alpine feel to it and the staff are very friendly.   We stayed with our 5 year old daughter and 7 month old son. The hotel is child friendly.   The food was tasty and there is a very good selection for both dinner and breakfast.   The only downside is the rooms are a bit small and in need of modernisation.

Could not have asked for better location, value and service. Genuinely a wonderful place to enjoy Les Trois Vallées. Beds perfect for Tall Men. Staff were attentive and friendly and the whole place is clean and comfortable (particularly the bar). Great access for slopes - we could ski in every night and thereafter enjoy a couple of cocktails of the day on the sun deck admiring the magnificence of the alps. Merci!
