We have stayed with Chalet des Neiges several times now both in Val Thorens and Les Arcs. The Plein Sud residence is a good location for ski in ski out with the boot room just 10m from the slopes and close enough to the centre of things to access local facilities and restaurants. We were a family of 4 adults in a 3 bed apartment which was spacious and perfect for our needs. For us, the service was excellent- great communication before our stay (everything explained in the paperwork, so should be no surprises) and the staff were very responsive to any queries- going above and beyond to ensure we had a good stay. Being able to order fresh bread / croissants for delivery to outside your door the next morning (before 8am) is a really nice touch. Look forward to another stay some time soon.

We enjoyed a fantastic week skiing with our 26 year old daughter. We stayed at Residence Chalet des Neiges which is connected to the 5 star hotel Koh I Nor. 1. The reception staff went out of their way to help and were extremely helpful. We arrived at night during a very heavy snow storm having hired a car and driven up from Chambery airport. Remember, the accommodation is right at the top of Val Thorens, the highest point of the highest ski village in the Alps. We did not have snow tyres. We managed to get approximately 100 metres from the accommodation but had to stop the car as the road became too snowy and icy. We ditched the car and walked. The reception were extremely helpful, found the car and parked it safely by the side of the road. The next morning they returned to the car, fitted snow chains (which is more tricky than you think when the car is buried in snow) and drove to the free car park at the accommodation. That was real 5 star service. 2. We ordered ski hire at the hotel ski shop. They may be a little more expensive than the ski hire shops in town, but definitely worth it. We walked to the town the first morning to buy some stuff at the supermarket. Whilst doing so, we looked in to one of the ski hire shops there. It was crowded with people queueing, pushing and shoving to get their ski hire. We returned to the hotel ski shop which was relaxed, with three extremely helpful staff, sheep skin covered sofas to try your boots on and only 1 or 2 other customers in the shop at any time. They spent time to understand our level of skiing and advise on the different types of skis. We went for top of the range Stockli skis which were the best I've ever had. I would 100% recommend these people. So much better than the typical crowded ski shops in town. 3. From the Chalet des Neiges you leave your ski room (very good) walk out the front of the building, into the hotel, up the stairs, through the ski shop and onto the slopes. Same in reverse when you finish. Not exactly ski in ski out, but pretty close and excellent in comparison to most ski resorts. 4. We had a 4 bed apartment for 3 people. It is relatively compact, but clean, modern, well laid out and comfortable. All in all it was very very good. No complaints and would recommend. 5. The accommodation is the highest building in the town. So you walk down to everything, and walk back up. The reception key offering us a free shuttle bus, but we never used it. It's only a couple of minutes walk to the town and we enjoyed it. 6. The Residence Chalet des Neiges and the hotel Koh I Nor are the same building. Each has it's own front door and separate reception, but both are linked at each floor, so you could walk across without going outside (unless you are going skiing - see 3. above). The pool and sauna is shared at floor 2. We looked at the hotel bar and restaurant but the prices there are quite high (5 star) and so we ate and drank at various good places in town. 7. The skiing at 3 Valleys is exceptional. This was the third time we skied here in the last 2 years and we are still finding new slopes not skied before. The conditions were excellent. Val Thorens is the highest ski village and so the snow is excellent. All in all we had a superb week and would definitely recommend this place

We stayed for a week in the 14 person apartment. The rooms are below average in size. The kitchen area is spacious and is the only place you can reach the poor WiFi connection. You don't get the towels changed, nor do you get the toilet paper recharged during your stay. In the end you'll have to pay for the cleaning, no matter how well you have cleaned the apartment yourself. In one sentence - overpriced for the service you get.

They took money for cleaning the room, because supposedly the taps were not clean! Wifi signal was very weak. It was cold in some rooms, so we had to ask for the additional heater. Furthermore, they didn't change the towels, so we had to use the same for one week.

This chalet apartment block was in a good location for skiing as a group. It was a short walk from the ski hire shop and the piste. It is possible to walk a few minutes and access a piste. The apartment was clean and spacious. There were 11 adults in an apartment for 12 and we found it fine. The self catering facilities in the chalet were helpful if you want to cook. Breakfast can be delivered (fresh bread and pastries) for a small fee. The views from the upper chalets are amazing and the sunrise was great. Highly recommended and good value for money.
