We spent 6 days at the Borsat and were very pleased. It's basic but we literally only slept and washed in it. What I would suggest is go for a bigger room. 2 of us shared the 4 person room and it was the right size, anymore people would have been a squeeze (4 people in there would be ridiculous!)

Firstly the location is brilliant, can't fault it. Ski in ski out, close to the shops and bars which is great. The rooms are very cold at night, we complained a number of times about how cold the rooms are at night and the hotel did nothing. Some members of the group were having to sleep in their ski jackets. The main issue is the deposit. When paying for the deposit they didn't take American express which is fine so I payed with my Monzo card, the hotel staff promised me that NO money would be taken out, I instantly received a notification that £300 had been taken from my account... At the end of my (cold) trip we had a room inspection and were told everything was good and my deposit would be returned into my bank within 3/5 working days. That was a month ago and I still have not received the deposit back, we called the hotel who couldn't care less and told up it wasn't their issue. I am getting increasingly concerned that the hotel won't return the deposit to either myself OR my friend who put down the £300 for the second room - that is a grand total of £600 that this hotel has taken even though I have receipt that say I will be getting all the deposit back.

Basic but fine accommodation, but they have refused to return a £300 deposit despite confirming that there was nothing wrong with the room and it was clean. I returned from holiday over two months ago and have been trying to get the money returned since then. I have tried to raise this with the accommodation directly who were completely uninterested and did not help, and have twice called Crystal who have also not helped. Clearly neither company cares that they are ripping customers off by retaining the deposit that they are not entitled to. I will not stay here again and will seriously consider booking with another company as Crystal don't seem to mind using accommodation that steals from customers.

You really get what you pay for with this hotel. We booked through Crystal ski which was the best option as you always have a rep on hand who can speak English, whereas the staffs English wasn't great. The rooms were very small, we had 3 people in a room for 4 but it definitely wouldn't of fit 4 people. The rooms are separated by a moving wall and have a separate (tiny) toilet and bathroom. You are provided with bed linen and a pillow, I brought an extra blanket with me as I heard the rooms get cold at night which is correct- there are two heaters but they seem to go off after about an hour or so. You have to bring or rent your own towel also, There is laundry facilities which is 6 euros for washing and 3 for drying, fairly reasonable. Id also advise to bring dishwasher tablets with you as the mugs and cutlery etc weren't exactly shining clean when we arrived. Location was great, ski in and out to Tufs and Bollin lifts and all within walking distance of all local bars and restaurants and shops and a bakery is next door and ski hire directly across the road. Tignes Val Claret itself is amazing for skiing and Apres (recommend CocoRico by Bollin Lift), the nightlife wasn't amazing but you can get the free shuttle to Le Lac who seemed to have better bars and evening nightlife. I would recommend this hotel to groups who would be spending little time in the hotel and aren't massively fussy about where they stay.

You get what you pay for, and this place is basic but, then again, not expensive. Booking direct, you have to pay for bedlinen and towels, and you also have to do an inventory on arrival and a deep clean on departure. The location is great though, one minute from the Tufs chair lift. There is also a ski hire shop and boulangerie in the building. A good grocery store is about a five minute walk away, as are some of the main bars and restaurants. Cooking can be challenging, with a hob and a microwave, but there are enough pots/pans to cater. Staff are also really friendly and very helpful. A great option if you're willing to rough it a bit.
