Don't bother staying on the ground floor unless you want to share a bathroom and shower with other rooms and have the constant smell of cannabis from the staff living area! We also had no lights apart from the one above the sink for the whole two weeks we stayed. Continental breakfast? Yes, but very very basic and not much...

My room was excellent - spacious and comfortable with interesting and beautiful views. The ski room exits with easy reach of chairlifts. Convenient for free bus service to Grande Mott glacier and also close to underground car park.

This is a low budget hotel that delivers! We were in a four person room and I have never slept and showered nicer compared to any French ski holiday hotel I have ever been in. Location is also great: in the original part of the village (great restaurants and central slope nearby, pubs etc across the central slope so low...

What more do you want? The main attraction for us was we could book this hotel for just a few nights instead of a full week. During the French school holidays, which last 4 weeks as the regions are split in three and the holidays are staggared, most places will only allow you to book from Saturday to Saturday. As...

My daughter and I stayed at this hotel on March 2015. The staff was very friendly and nice. Our room was on the ground floor near the reception and it was quite small but very clean and neat. The shower was a bit small to accommodate someone who is larger than average (182 cm /90 Kg).The beds were comfortable. The...

We too were just here for the skiing and needed a convenient place for the night, nothing fancy. This little hotel was perfect: great location, ski in and out, clean and warm, a very decent breakfast, and really friendly and helpful. We were able to stop the car in front to unload and Audrey kindly helped me find a parking...

Despite being quite basic, this hotel is in a perfect location, close to the slopes and ski in and ski out. It's very clean, good breakfast and the best bit is the hosts. The lovely family that run the hotel were so helpful it really makes a difference. They helped find ski lessons, which I was unable to do at...

My friend and I were looking for cheaper accomodation as we were after a short budget skiing trip and so we booked one of the cheapest hotels we could find. We were delightfully surprised at the condition and facilities within the hotel. We booked a twin single room and there was abundant storage for all our ski gear with a...

We ski for the skiing not for the hotel, so good budget places to stay are always a win. Le Lavachey is just that, warm, clean, close to the lifts and town, welcoming and friendly. Overall great value and we would choose it again if we ski there in future.

This place is everything you need for a week of skiing in the Alps. The owners are helpful and friendly and go out of their way to ensure your stay is easy and pleasurable. The location is fantastic; you can ski straight onto the slopes from the boot room! There's also an abundance of restaurants and bars on the doorstep....
