This is the second time we have stayed in this hotel. Quite a few years have lapsed since our last visit but nothing had changed, we wrongly assumed it would have, everything was the same including that the owners seem to have retained their position as the ' Mr. and Mrs.Basil Fawlty' of Samoens. The hotel is situated in the town, a great location but there it sadly ends. The couple who own this hotel seem disinterested in the hospitality industry of which they are part of. We were not greeted with a smile on check in, it seemed as if we were nearly an inconvenience for arriving to stay for four nights, how dare we? Each day we waited to see if there was a greeting but no, we nicknamed this glum pair,'Mr.and Mrs. Glacier ' ! The dining room was drab. The breakfast average , there was a bowl of fresh fruit salad, the small croissants were fresh, the drinks machine looked promising but everything that was dispensed from it tasted the same, not good, after one breakfast we started to have breakfast elsewhere. The hotel has huge potential but basically it needs to come into the 21st century. Needless to say we won't be back anytime soon, probably just as well because after this review we certainly would get an even ' Frostier ' reception!

Short ski trip to Samoens, close to Geneva, within the larger Grand Massif area. The hotel was in an excellent location to enjoy a traditional french alpine village. The hotel was well equiped with a great bar outdoors in the evenings.

Review collected in partnership with this hotel
Hotel Les Glaciers looks traditional but is anything but rustic! With great location, friendly staff, an inviting bar and comfortable warm rooms it was the perfect venue for our group to travel to for the weekend. The continental breakfast was sumptuous and everything about the Hotel was First Class. This was accentuated when I left an important work document in my room on departure. I contacted the Hotel and they sent it First Class at no additional charge. This highlights how important they consider their Customer Service. Overall: A lovely place with amazing service.

Lovely, friendly hotel in a very pretty village. We stayed here whilst doing the Tour du Mont Blanc. We had the set menu at dinner, three courses, all of which were excellent. The wine was also reasonable.

We stayed for 5 nights in February for skiing, arriving late around midnight on the first night. The hotel provided a door code to get in at the late hour and everything we needed was ready for us, despite no reception or staff at the late hour. The hotel was quiet and clean and breakfast was good, especially fresh pastries every morning. The reception staff were helpful with directions and recommendations for restaurants, etc. The hotel bar was also good, with friendly staff. On or last day we had an evening flight and as there was no booking for one of our 2 rooms the hotel let us keep the room until our transfer collection free of charge, and also called to let us know we had left an item behind in the room. Very kind and helpful staff, overall a great stay in a lovely hotel and nice little town with good access to the slopes.
