We are a group of 4 families (8 adults, 13 children). We spent a wonderful week at chalet Ski Massif. It was above our expectations. Matt is a great host. Nothing is too much for him. Transfer to and from the slopes, ski rental, nice restaurants and pubs recommendations,... Everything comes with a big smile. The food and drinks in the chalet were excellent. With a special menu for the kids, everybody happy. Many thanks Matt, Isaac and Jo for making our holidays 'next level'.

We had a great week here. Really well looked after by Matt and his team. Fab food, really great wines and great service. Kids loved the hot tub and sledging and snow ball fights in the garden. We loved the afternoon teas and aperitifs...need we say more!

An excellent find, out of the main town area but with the free taxi service to the lifts in the morning and pick up in the afternoon, it’s a perfect location for a chilled holiday.Stayed here as a group of 15, plenty of room around the chalet without tripping over each other. The facilities in the chalet are great, the food is excellent and the choice of drinks is a real winner. The ski back to the chalet is an experience not to forget!

We have had at least five catered chalet holidays over the past years with a large family group ranging from four years old to eighty and Chalet Ski Massif has been the best chalet we've ever been in. The rooms are gorgeous with plenty of flexibility for families. Food was perfect and Sally and Matt were wonderful hosts. We hope to visit again very soon.

Where to start? I have been avoiding coming back to France for almost 8 years, fed up with some not very pretty resorts and horrendously expensive mountainside fare, preferring Austria instead. So I was a little disgruntled when my plans meant my only option was a sneaky week from somewhere near Geneva. Little did I know I was about to spend a week in one of the most pleasant chalets I've ever stayed in. Nothing is too much trouble for the owners/hosts Sally and Matt. Food at every meal was of excellent quality and the wine options at dinner added a lovely extra element to an already very well put together menu. The Chalet itself is warm and more than comfortable with a fantastic open area for groups of all sizes or even just hunkering down by the fire with a book if you wanted too. My double room on the same floor as the living area was immaculate and I was never disturbed by any morning preparations for breakfast etc. The boot/drying room is ample with more than enough room to dry out boots and clothes at the end of a full day on the mountain..... And what a mountain! I loved the area! I did have possibly one of the best weeks weather wise with sunshine and powder days but I can tell there's quite an investment in the area just now with more lifts and runs been added over the past couple of seasons, and more to come. Samoen itself is a lovely 'proper' town and just 15 mins or so away, there are bars, restaurants and plenty of shops to peruse on a day off or if the mountain is closed. Chalet location - I loved it. The chalet itself is about 2/3 up the hill towards Samoen 1600, sitting pretty much by itself in a woodland on the mountainside. This little bit of isolation may be a negative to some but, honestly, with Chalet Ski-Massif you have very little reason to want to go anywhere! Also if, like me, you like to be up and on the hill early Matt will take you up to the lift areas at Samoen 1600 where you can beat the crowds coming up from town and get a great head start on fresh pistes for most the morning - trust me its worth it! I'd absolutely recommend booking a trip here, and even though a solo traveller on this occasion I'm already strong arming my usual group to commit to coming back next year I enjoyed it so much. Thanks again.

Thank you Joe! We loved having you stay and you are welcome back anytime. In fact, you HAVE TO come back and go-pro the snowboard route back to the chalet... without hitting a tree this time ;) Thanks again Sally and Matt
