The public spaces are cosy and welcoming and the food is excellent. The staff were all very sweet and helpful if inexperienced. The room I was first put in was small and not very clean - an old sock and a flossing harp on the floor - and the shower room was as small as it is possible to have,...

Returned for a second visit this year, this time with family. A very busy half term week but the hotel, staff and food were just a good. There is something about the open friendly approach brought to the Christiania by the King family and their magician Derek that means whether alone or in a group you always leave with new...

Only a brief stay, but the owner was very helpful. Dinner was well worth having and would not have disgraced a good restaurant. It is right by the lifts and the ski school, so good all round. Thanks John.

You could say reviewing a hotel after just one night isn't going to have enough detail. Well let me start by saying the patron John is a star. My brother Tim and I arrived early evening Saturday 12th Feb. John upgraded our room as we had a lot of stuff. We were very grateful for that. Dinner was delicious and...

Christiania has an exceptional location at the foot of the slopes and in the centre of the village. Just on the edge of the action, the hotel is never noisy but close to anything you would like, shops, bars or restaurants. The lounges have been refurbished and relaxing beside the fire after a marvellous dinner takes up most of our...

This is a lovely little hotel. It's right in the centre of this resort village in the Portes de Soleil, at the bottom of the slopes as near as you could get to the lifts and the little cable car. Rooms are compact but ours was very clean and comfy. The sitting area is so cosy, with a big log...

Fabulous location for ski in, ski out, a great stay for all levels of skiiers. The food was delicious, serving smallish portions over 4 course dinners. The rooms are small but quite comfortable and the staff professional, friendly and helpful.
