Visited here in February for seven nights skiing. The chalet is excellent. Close to the ski lifts and very spacious. The staff there who accommodated us was Lucy, Lorna and Amy. Excellent customer service skills and very attentive. We had breakfast, afternoon tea and dinner with wine included with our evening meal. Excellent value and the girls made amazing food daily. This has been excellent value for money and has been great meeting people from around the UK as part of the shared chalet scheme.’would definitely return and would recommend. Well done.

Excellent Chalet in a good location for eighteen of us(5 family’s). The Neilson staff were great from start to end. Very friendly and attentive at all times, nothing was too much hassle. One of our party has a severe nut allergy and they were excellent in dealing with this and made special little cakes etc separately to ensure they didn’t miss out on the experience. Rufus, Anna & Dan made our stay so much more enjoyable and amazing food the whole week, catering for everyone.. would def return and recommend, thank you Neilson x

We had a great time in Les Duex Alpes. We travelled with Neilson and the Chalet staff were great. They were friendly, chatty and cooked some amazing meals! The food was always on time and cooked well! The free wine is a winner. Rooms were tidy and clean. We did feel the chalet was a bit small for 17 people in the dining area, lounge and boot room. The boot room would benefit from a different layout and some boot heaters! Thank you Neilson and Chalet Alexandre Staff

As mentioned in some other reviews, this chalet is somewhat cramped when filled. 17/18 people booking is no doubt tempting to Neilson but eating and relaxing in the lounge requires an extra table to be brought in ( blocking the main door) and taking dining chairs to the lounge. Having said that the Neilson team led by Oliver as head host, supported by Dan and Anna as well as Oscar and Layla do a great job to make their guests welcome, happy and well fed. Menu is hearty and mostly good. Ski bus is literally 50 yards away. Nearby lift down to the very quaint village of Venosc is definitely worth taking. Chalet is warm throughout and almost every day there was enough water for such a large group. A short wait and hot water came through again. Very convenient, ski storage at another Neilson property is helpful. Overall very good but the level of space would put me off for a repeat visit.

Not ski in, ski out but only a 5 minute walk to the nearest lift (Le Diable). Free resort shuttle bus situated 5 seconds from the chalet if you want to start your skiing at a different lift. Would definitely recommend skiing the opposite side of the vallley, Vallee Blanche which has some lovely wide open blues & reds but avoid the Super Venosc piste as generally ungroomed & quite moguly! (Shuttle bus stop 17 if you want to start there). The chalet overall is welcoming & warm & the bedrooms & bathroom facilities to a good standard. The sauna is a bonus too. However, the lounge seating area & dining space is quite small. The Chalet caters for up to 18 people. We only had 16 when we stayed for Christmas week & it was a squeeze. There wasn't enough comfortable sofa seating to accommodate everyone so we had to pull dining chairs into the lounge space if we all wanted to sit together there. Also, the dining area is very small & invariably were sat with no elbow room & of course at least two people had to be seated with the table legs between their legs! The hosts were all 1st seasonaires so local knowledge was limited when asking basic questions about the resort but if they didn't know they would find out. Good, varied offering on the daily menu but again a little more practice required for better execution. If not renting skis from the recommended Neilson provider (Hotel Aalborg - where you can store your boots & skis, but is a bit of a walk to & from the chalet) there is a boot room at the chalet but it doesn't have boot warmers but is a much shorter walk to the lifts, even in ski boots! Overall a good holiday, well situated & with time the hosts will have their routine down pat. Having said that, I have to say a huge Thanks to Tasha (lead host) as she was by far the most professional, welcoming & helpful overall. Oh, a must is to take the Telecabine (1 minutes walk from Chalet) down into the village of Venosc. A lovely, old fashioned rambling village with a couple of nice bars & restaurants. We ate in Le Dolilou which was fantastic!
