This hotel was quite nice but it was little things that made it not worth the £300 per night price tag. Breakfast buffet was extensive but we got a lot of pre skiing exercise getting up and down collecting salt, pepper, teaspoons, butter cups and saucers etc as well as our food items - could these not have been ready on the tables?.The bathroom was so dark with insufficient lighting that we had to use the full length mirror in the corridor for shaving/make up. WiFi was not working for the first half of our stay (we were told it didn’t work well on iPhones,) then were not advised when it was eventually fixed. Boot warmers in the boot room not working as it apparently fused the Hotel’s system when they were turned on. Lift passes were not available to buy at the desk as advertised (the special machine required for this had not been delivered) so we had to join long queues at the lift stations to buy them. I’d chosen the Otel cos it had a spa but this was not included in the price and cost €11 to use the saunas etc. The pool was included but only offered a few hard beds to relax on and no towels available on the day I went. Staff were very pleasant and hardworking but these points let the hotel down. …
We stayed 3 nights in this very good hotel around Christmas. Excellent service from all staff members. Excellent value for money, especially for the family room. Delicious breakfast. Only drawback: 10-min walk to the ski slopes, not convenient when carrying the skis. But this is very common in Alpe Duez where appts and hotels are spread everywhere
We stayed at the hotel for a few nights over La Marmotte. Breakfast was OK, room was as expected, but frankly, the highlight of the stay was the excellent personal service we recieved at the bar. Charlene was accommodating, warm, helpful, professional and made our stay a delight.
Professional very friendly and helpful staff. Clean hotel. Although the hotel was fully booked we did not experience the crowd....never waiting times. Nice ski room, our boots were perfectly dry in the morning. We had a nice big two level room.
I stayed with 7 friends during a recent ski trip to L'Alpe D'Huez at this hotel. The newly refurbished look and feel of the hotel made for a very comfortable stay. We opted for the half board option. Breakfast was always a good spread to get you ready for a day of skiing. Dinner was equally nice, and we enjoyed the fact that they presented dishes that were not just burger and chips. That being said, they could serve the dinners with some additional substance I.e. a side portion of vegetables. The rooms are very comfortable and the bathrooms are excellent. The views from the room are also breathtaking. There is a nice social space in the bar area but the sofas aren't particularly comfy for an all night chill. The boot room for skis and boots, whilst a bit smelly, was great at heating the boots over night. The hotel is perfectly situated in the heart of LAlpe D'Huez, near to plenty of shops, ski hire, doctors, restaurants and cafes. This can sometimes be to its detriment when late night goers retreat back to their accommodation and continue to make a bit of noise which did wake us up on more than 1 occasion. All being said, I think the hotel is fantastic to stay in for a ski trip with friends and would recommend to anyone.…
