We stayed at the Kube hotel whilst attending a wedding nearby. The pool was fabulous but the room was very disappointing and more like a hostel than a hotel:

Positives:
The pool areas, two of which look out to sea. Stunning pools. Can't fault them

Negatives:
1. We asked for a quiet room and were given a mezzanine room with an odd layout. The bed was up a staircase on a mezzanine level with a low sloping ceiling. You have to crouch down to get into bed. We both hit our head against the ceiling multiple times as a result. If you wake up needing to go to the loo, you sit up, hit your head, then have to go down a full staircase to the loo
2. Spiders: The mezzanine felt like an attic room with Spiders. Every night we needed to clear Spiders from the low ceiling directly above our bed in order to sleep
3. The toilet: The toilet is bizarre. It is way too high and cube shaped. Very uncomfortable to sit on. No adult should have to dangle their legs on a toilet because it's too high. Even my husband, who is 6 foot 3, had his legs dangling
4. The cost: For the amount we paid, we would expect to be able to sit up in bed. This is a very expensive hotel, but the bed st mezzanine level with Spiders felt like a hostel

The Kube hotel in St Tropez is a 5 stars hotel full of contradictions. Nice concept, beautiful hotel kubes and a magnificant sea view. Tons of potential for having a unique holiday. But there are strange things … sometimes you need to recall 5 times the reception to get some action. Or at breakfast with stunning views you have only cold pancakes, a housekeeper that goes through the buffet, overbaked eggs or a coffee waiting in stead of served,. The swimmingpools are amazing but dirty paths around with pieces of glass on the same place for more than one day. Also the rooms, high tech, well cooled but a bit dirty. Last but not least, don’t look your stopwatch if you ask room service: it can take up to more than 30 minutes. Thus cleaning could be improved and personnel better instructed. I rate this hotel 4 stars.

Very friendly staff, very well maintained domain and the rooms are always very clean. We have been bringing our dog for 2 years and that is no problem at all.Only 10 minutes walk from the harbour and they have 2 luxury shuttles that drop you off / pick you up in the center (hotel is very well located). Very good concierge service to arrange reservations in local restaurants & beaches. We came to this hotel for the 6th time in 10 years and will definitely come back. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to be close to the center & beaches but still wants to enjoy the tranquility of the beautiful swimming pools.

The experience was bad… when we arrived in the room, i found hair in the bathroom, and was dirty, we call to come again the cleaning women… when we go take the lunch we order, but also for drink we wait more like 30min only because the personal was just have fun, was looking like they are not there for work… for the dinner we go out, we make reservatione for one car and we say the hour but when we arrived for go out we need to wait. They don t rispect exactlly the time… in the morning for the breakfast the boy dont make disinfect for the table when someboady finish with the eat, they only take the things, without clean the table. Horribile! We go to receptione say all this, plus we make photos for show them in the room have things broken and for one hotel with 5 stars …IS NOT POSSIBILE. What we received? “SORRY” but this dont help. When someboady let the key for the car , and have out the place where they put it ..noboady is atent or look about this. Someboady can go just take the keys and run with the car… We ask speak with directore about all this , but the women for reception she say that he will call us but nouthing. Definittly i don t recomand! The view is nice, but the personal and the service is BAD .

In my reviews most of the times I mentioned always the same… I was lucky enough to travel around the world and seeing 5 * and 7* hotels… so really this is not a 5* hotel. Maybe for French hospitality’s standards it is, but for the ones who loves high end traveling not at all!
Location was perfect! Views were amazing! Room was fine, had a large balcony, even room was not all functional.
We arrived after driving through Provence area, no welcome drink , fresh towel … regular stuff that even Caribbean all inclusive resorts did.
Reception stuff was nice but not really fluently either English or Spanish.
At the arrival they never explained what was included or not and all the details.
So we realize after our second day breakfast was included, but parking was not included 🤦🏼‍♀️
Also we had an standard frigobar at our suite , but were not menu or list price for the stuff… so my aunt thought was like breakfast … they did not mention that is included but it is. In this case was not… and really is not fir what they charged you is because they didn’t give the accurate information. So you have an amazing buffet breakfast but later they charged you for a few nuts 🤦🏼‍♀️
Out first day since we were extremely tired we ask for ice to our room…. We already left and still waiting for it.
Concierge service is not able to leave you a note , send a text or whatever to inform you about your reservations. I had to check every day with the concierge who by the way English was not really good and Spanish not at all.
We should wait for our car for more than 25 minutes… valet was gone? And they charged you for the service?
Stuff is friendly and nice but if you do not speak French you are in trouble.
Housekeeping… no words, left they dirty stuff on the room , did not remove ice buckets from previous days… cleaning is mmm…
But location is great, shuttle is perfect, views are to died for… and also stuff is nice but lack of experience.

This hotel is by far the worst I have ever stayed in. The prices are absolutely ridiculous and quite sickening - nearly a £1,000 a night! We literally felt robbed after checking in and seeing the state of this place. Please don’t be fooled by the 5 star rating. It is a 2 star at the very best. A hostel room would be nicer. The pillows are lumpy and hard. The duvet is a thin sheet of polyester and the mattress was the most uncomfortable I have ever slept on. They also have bed bugs - my body is covered in bite marks. The white bed linen is covered in old stain marks. The furniture is in a poor condition and it is very cheap looking. The suite floor tiles are all cracked and damaged. There are no showers in most of the rooms and only bath tubs (which they fail to mention on their website). We came back to our unmade and dirty room at 5pm after leaving the ‘clean my room’ sign on the door all day! That was the final straw and we decided to check out after staying for 1 night. We wish we had done our research better as there are some great hotels and air b&b’s in town for a fraction of the price. The only positive is that the staff were friendly but I felt sorry for them working in such a bad environment. I will not return and would not recommend.

We stayed four nights.

The pool area is absolutely gorgeous!
Nice scenery. Well thought and great decor.

Breakfast is comprehensive and good.
Instead of ready-made drinks, maybe develop something like smoothie bowls?

Good location. The staff is professional, friendly and listens to customers' wishes and also implements them.

Thank you !
We'll be back someday!

The Kube hotel was a weekend stay, for my husband and I, for my birthday. I received a complimentary bottle of wine and fruit bowl as a birthday gift! The hotel is located directly in front of the Gulf of St Tropez, with great views. The staff are super attentive. there is a shuttle service to take you into St Tropez port/village as needed. On the Sunday morning I had an amazing massage with Carla and a great swim in the heated infinity pool overlooking the sea, and the reception team organised for us to have a late check out. Nothing was too much trouble for any of the team there.

A very small critique would be that the breakfast menus should be given as soon as you arrive for breakfast. I thought that the buffet breakfast was the sole offering untill I saw the couple on the table next to us with the a la carte breakfast menu! and finally, the a la carte breakfast was actually super.

Loved it - I will be back for my birthday next year!

The Kube is not only the best hotel in St Tropez, but one of the best hotels we have ever stayed in. We have traveled to some of the most luxurious resorts around the world and The Kube is right up there with all of them. The service, room quality, cleanliness, and overall beauty of the property are second to none. The sense of serenity throughout the whole property is one of the reasons that make it so special. There are three incredible pools to chose from, top notch spa and one of the best breakfasts we've ever had. The professionalism and kindness of the entire staff was some of the best we have ever experienced. If you are travelling to St Tropez this is by far the best place to stay so do not think twice about it.

Paid 4 times the normal rate cos of the peak season time, which is fine but the room was horrible. Lights were flickering, intercom was out of service, no amenities provided in the room. Horrible service, pathetic rooms! Expected much better. Try to avoid staying here!

Answer from Natpats

You can book a room with or without breakfast so it's your choice. If it's not included you can purchase the breakfast daily for around €29 per person which includes a small buffet and a hot choice from the menu.

Jason, we did not find any alternate parking option that made any sense. I will say that the free shuttle the hotel provides into town was very convenient and saved us from having to pay for a cab, since parking in town is almost impossible.
Answer from Raphael P

Hi, unfortunately not too many options there. Only the choice of inside/outside parking. Inside is a bit more expensive. Around the hotel there is no room for free parking, hotel is located on a small busy road. Enjoy your stay
