Stayed here in a group of five for a four night ski break and we were not disappointed. The stafff are all so friendly and helpful - Vince is brilliant in the dining room and Claire very helpful on reception. Our rooms were spacious and always lovely and warm with plenty of hot water - just what you need after...

We got a very good deal on this hotel so decided to spend our Christmas (snowboarding) holiday here. The town itself was a nice surprise, really charming and not overrun by tourists - though the town did make a lot of effort and organized children's activities at the main square every afternoon with free hot drinks. There was a free...

This hotel makes you feel right at home, with everything you want/need at a great value price. The Athena hotel stays away from the cold mass-hotels and lets you feel right at home, where everything is excellent. Enjoy soft towels after shower or bath, great comfortable beds with extra pillows and blankets in a big room with plenty storage cabinets....

Lovely hotel - excellent food and very comfortable rooms. We went in February for skiing, a nice walk through the town to the main cable car (with ski hire underneath and storage lockers to keep the skis in). Hotel fabulous to return to after a day on the slopes - spa and sauna luxurious. Food excellent, good variety. Parking very...

3rd year staying at this lovely hotel. The stuff are lovely and were very accommodating towards our 15 month old daughter. The pine trees and sound of the river make for a deep nights sleep. Food is well prepared and very nutritious. Spa area is a treat too. See you next year.

The hotel is a 5 minute walk from the ski lifts, scenery was beautiful, our room was situated with the balcony facing the mountains and stream. There were very few shops around and not many were open. The female manager was very accommodating and helpful and would go out of her way to ensure the stay was pleasant. The rooms...

Room was clean, service was ok. The hotel was fair at 3*, certainly not more. Decore was dated but relatively clean... The spa was good but tiny for the number of rooms and is only open a couple of hours a day, a problem if you go down and its full already! The food is ok, the half board is...

Nice hotel for the price. Most of the staff tried very hard to please. Yet, went to go to dinner in their restaurant and asked for a seating for three. We could see there were tables for 2 and one for 5 and two tables pushed together for eight that were free with no one else waiting. But, they told...

Dear Sir, Thank you for your custom at the hotel and your review. We are sorry that our restaurant service disappointed you. As you stay in between Christmas and New Year Eve, you'll understand it is a very busy period for us. When you arrived a restaurant, we didn't had any table free for 3 persons. Indeed, there was table...

OK, so the selection of hotels in Brides-les-Bains isn't huge and most are focused on the winter ski market or the therapeutic benefits of "taking the waters", but Brides is not Bath. Still, the Alps are lovely in the summertime! This hotel is, IMHO, on a par with a good mid-range B&B in the UK. The rooms were clean and...
