Arriving at the train station, its a flat bag drag, taking about 20 minutes. We arrived before check in time, but our room was available. We were well greeted, and allocated Room 103, on the 1st floor. There is no lift. Our room was very spacious, with 2 windows with shutters opening out to the courtyard area. Nicely decorated. There...

Chain hotels are generally fine, offer good value for money and do what it says on the tin! Occasionally however, it is nice to stay somewhere different. I think that this hotel is marketed as part of a chain but it is clearly independently owned, like the Logis de France hotels. If you have decided to visit the beautiful town...

We stayed two nights at Roca Fortis in Rochefort. After a friendly welcome, we got a nice, large and very quiet room in the annex. Our bicycles were safe in the courtyard (but not dry). The breakfast was outstanding: a large choice of fresh and delicious products, good coffee. We would definitely choose Roca Fortis again.

It is a great 3 star hotel with excellent rooms and gorgeous breakfast! Location is perfect, a few blocks from the main square as well as local tourist attractions and a few kilometers to La Rochelle. The staff is real friendly.

We got a very big room with 2 bed, the design on the room was nice and delicate. And the view was quite nice. There was poor pressure in the shower and the shower was a bit difficult to get to work. Happy to see that there was a Nespresso machine and a kettle. Very friendly staff, and the breakfast...

Judging by photos - the hotel looked smart and comfortable - so we were looking forward to our short break in Rochefort. The reception area appears clean, bright and welcoming - and we were warmly greeted by the receptionist. However we were surprised by the condition of our 'comfort' double bedroom. The bed was clean and comfortable, there were chairs...

Perfect position to explore the centre of Rochefort. Extremely helpful and friendly staff. Home made breakfast seemed pricey but actually worth every penny. Rochefort is a interesting and historic ship building city a must for Nuaticalophiles

We just spent two days in Rochefort. The staff at the hotel made our visit much more interesting with advice on food and sights to see. The breakfast was delicious with a nice assortment of breads, pastries, fruit, cheese, meats, cereal and yogurt. We loved the different juices served each morning.

Nice quiet location not too far from the town centre. Big room and bathroom. Everything was spotless. Breakfast- with a difference- was excellent with homemade smoothies & pancakes. Inner courtyard was great for breakfast Bathroom was a little old-fashioned, but it was spotless and big.
