This is a beautiful hotel placed in the centre of Chatelaillon. It is close to all facilities, such as public transport, town hall, media library, market, commerces, restaurant, beach, parc and casino. It takes 30mn to go to La Rochelle by bus. The railway station is only 5mn away. If public transport are being use, I would recommend an excellent...

The Majestic is an attractive building originally a Maison de Maitre from the 1930s. Our double "comfort" room was clean, spacious, comfortable and well equipped. The reception staff were all helpful and friendly. Staying midweek in January we had no difficulty finding on road parking nearby and the town square always had spaces too. Free wifi was easy to access...

The staff we met were all young, extremely friendly and helpful, whilst speaking excellent English. Our room on the top floor was a disappointment, as it was very small and...

Lovely hotel, room just a bit noisy as by stairs. Otherwise clean and comfortable. Very central. Staff very friendly and helpful. Had breakfast which was fairly average. Parked right outside. Restaurant not open on Sunday night so not able to eat in evening.

Location good. The hand drier in the bathroom had the electric element hanging out. Broken chair in room. Avoid the restaurant! there are better on the doorstep. Full review on the Inter Hotel website.

we came to this area as part of a birthday celebration, stayed in this hotel and found it an excellent base for the superb coastal area to the south of la rochelle - perfect for visiting the many attractive beaches and small villages, well away from the hustle of la Rochelle!

Stayed here on way north to near La Baule. Chose from Logis guide as 2 Chimneys and 2 Pans and our friends run a similar hotel in Hede,Brittany which has superb food as worth 3 pans against this which would only give 1 to.

“This is an original building dating from 1926 renovated into a hotel in 1928, so the rooms are not very spacious but they have all comfort and are very clean. There are Wi-Fi facilities. Not all rooms have a great view, nevertheless this is a very relaxing and quiet place. Also you may be visited by occasional mosquitoes with the proximity of the sea. ”

“First triple room was gloomy and no view,Were offered one on 3rd floor at front which was light and airy. Shower needs some attention and did not get 3 towels every day, Food service appawling and food colourless. We never did get our apperitif on 2nd night and had to wait over 1hour for main .When it came the sauce was congealled and husband's fish stone cold! There was an air of gloom and dispondency amongst diners in restaurant. Breakfasts not topped up so buffet was v poor even at 9am no croissants, bread stale and no places set( Last service at 10am ) No apology for anything excep t' theyve left me on my own' On leaving they tried to charge us for 2 Kirs.”
