And I was wrong! This is not an upmarket hotel, that much is obvious from the price. It was however, much better than expected. The hotel is located close to the ferry terminal - the reason we chose it . Overlooking a park it was reasonably quiet with the exception of the odd creaking floorboard. The rooms were reasonably sized... More

Benoit is renovating his small hotel, and it is like staying overnight at your mates place! The hotel is simple, but very clean, the bed is extremely comfy, Benoit is so helpful and the price is extremely fair. The location is great, both for restaurants in the town or getting to train and ferry terminals. We will use it again... More

Stayed in Calais for one night and this was so convenient - easy to park and very close to lots of nice restaurants. Lovely place, quirky in decoration but we loved it all the more for that - had two lovely interconnecting rooms. Clean, comfy and warm. Benoit was really nice and helpful. Would definitely recommend and definitely stay again.

We stopped here for one night on our way home from Germany, it was a clean hotel, despite the renovations going on which I believe has been for 25years plus! The bed was very comfortable and with white linen sheets. The room was small and bathroom very dated with water flooding the floor while you showered , the towels being... More

Benoit, the owner, makes a stay here a real pleasure. A lucky find for our first visit, we now wouldn't stay anywhere else. On Benoit's recommendations we have enjoyed our evenings (jazz fesival, meals) getting the most out of our stays. Although the restoration works to the stairwells and corridors do not exactly race along, the rooms are very comfy,... More

Hotel being renovated hence so reasonably priced. Very helpful owner who recommended a wonderful restaurant (Histoire Ancienne) who could cope with me being lactose intolerant. Beautifully situated for restaurants and bars.

Spent a night here as it was reasonably priced and the reviews were good. It is getting renovated slowly so no carpet on stairs which meant we heard people going downstairs early hours presumably for the ferry. The host was great and suggested a wonderful restaurant as my sister is lactose intolerant. Secure parking at back for €5 per night... More

We had an overnight stop here on our way to Britain. As we had an early shuttle, we didn't want to be too far from the Eurotunnel. In fact, it's a 15 minutes drive. Perfect. The hotel is situated in front of a quite leafy park and is a stroll away from bars and restaurants. There's no problem for late... More

Had an overnight in Calais after driving back from Austria, our team manager identified this accommodation as suitable and a viable substitute to a formula 1 or Premiere Classe hotel. The hotel despite our scepticism was fantastic for our needs. The owner Benoit is as the description says self renovating the property and as a work in progress parts of... More

We decided to give this hotel a try as it was in the location we wanted to be in and the price was good. What a great find. It is overlooking a park on a quite street but only a very short walk to a good selection of bars and restaurants. There is street parking opposite but the hotel also... More
