Stayed here several times over the years. Nice central location, paid secure parking or plenty of free parking in the streets. Place still being renovated, and the rooms are very basic but not without charm. The showers/baths leave a little to be desired though. Coffee/tea facilities in the room, but no milk/sugar. Breakfast is 8E for a croissant, cereal and... More

As other reviewers have said, the hotel is in a nondescript building facing a park. But this does not detract from the interesting interior. I had a very pleasant welcome and was shown to my room on the third floor. The large room was dominated by a (very comfortable) bed. There were two wooden chairs but no easy chair. The... More

We came back, the most lovely owner, a great budget hotel! The rooms are quirky, the stairs STILL unfinished, but don't let anything put you off, clean, fun, and cost effective! If you are traveling on a budget don't look anywhere else, the bath alone is worth the fee!

We visit this hotel every year when we do our "Baccy and wine run" and would highly recommend it for economy and comfort. The owner Benoit is so friendly and helpful. We ask for the same rooms each time overlooking the beautiful park. The decoration of the rooms is quirky but they are spotlessly clean and beds comfortable. The breakfast... More

The hotel is ideally placed for exploring the centre of Calais, while being positioned in a quiet and pleasant street. The room was clean and comfortable. Some renovation work is ongoing - the areas already completed are finished tastefully and to a high standard. No inconvenience was experienced, the proprietor was most helpful and attentive. The exterior of the hotel... More

Found this hotel in Booking.com so it was unknown to us. It is a modern building overlooking a park but off the main road so very quiet. The man who greeted us seemed to be the owner, spoke good English and nothing was too much trouble for him. He is in the process of re-decorating the whole hotel so it... More

I was a bit anxious having read some of the other reviews but not at all disappointed with our stay. The place was very easy to find even though it doesn't look like a hotel. The place is undergoing refurbishment but this just adds to the character. The smell was one of refurbishing wood not an unpleasant smell at all.... More

We enjoyed two days here. One on our way to Belgium one on the way back so managed to sample two different rooms. The rooms were clean, roomy and comfortable although as other reviewers say the hotel is being renovated by its owner and some may find the two or three flights of steep stairs challenging. It's a period building... More

Located perfectly in the city but in a quiet sourrounding opposite of a little park. Good parking conditions. Next to a design museum, good restaurants. Very friendly host. Breakfast was very good. I liked the very nice decorated rooms. Everything perfect.

very disappointed with my one night stay at this hotel .the room stank of damp and when you used the shower in the bath it went everywhere making the floor deadly .that probably explains the smell .the hotel is like a building site and should be given a miss till it has been refurbished.
