Saturday night dinner which was delicious and reasonably priced. The hotel dates from early 20th century and retains many period features. Staff were very pleasant and helpful but spoke little English. In a quiet road an easy walk to Bagnole.

Stayed one night during a short visit. The hotel is traditional style for the spa nature of the town, grand in nature but not large and intimidating as some elderly establishments can be. Everything is clean bright and tidy with interesting decor and furnishings. Rooms modern and comfortable. Near a beautiful park and hotel de ville, but a bit of...

Booked here for two nights out of a three night stay as last minute booking of tickets for Le Man's Moto GP was a bit of a distance to travel but when we arrived in this fantastic location we wished we had booked all three nights here. The Hotel was lovely and such good value for money, Friendly and very...

We arrived at Lunchtime and were greeted at reception. The studio was big and comfortable. We spent the afternoon by the pool which was fantastic and faced the sun all afternoon. The town was a 10 minute walk, down quite a steep track. The town is beautiful and well worth a look round. We were there on Sunday night and...

We stayed 1 night on our way South. It is a very nice traditional hotel with helpful staff and a feel of "Agatha Christie" about it. The staff have limited English but were very helpful. There's a lovely garden at the back where you can park. There are steps up to the reception so disabled access may be difficult (we...

Stayed overnight and arrived late which did not faze anyone on duty. The restaurant was still open and all dishes were available. Quality, content and price of the set dinner was very good. The room was large, clean, comfortable and quiet. Altogether an excellent stay and thoroughly recommended. The building also has a very grand manoir appearance to it which...

Really nice, clean hotel less than a mile from the lake and the town centre. A pleasant level walk after dinner in the town. Room was a little smaller than I expected looking at the grand façade of the building, but had everything we needed. Small shower room but again OK. We chose this hotel on price and were not...

We stayed here for two nights to go to Haras du Pin for the World Equestrian Games. Family room OK, we didn't eat at the hotel (not a family style menu and quite expensive) but ventured out to the town by the lake which was a hidden gem where there were bars and restaurants. The welcome at the hotel was...

We stayed here two weeks ago, OMG what a find. The owners were lovely, garden fantastic and the bedroom was superb. Wih we had eaten in the restaurant instead of walking into town but seeing the lake by moonlight was not to be missed. We had beer and wine in the garden on arrival, advertised as 3 euros per glass,...

A one night stopover on the way to Mont Saint Michel. We didn't expect a spa town, that is obviously very popular. The receptionist was so indifferent to our arrival, not unfriendly but dour and not welcoming in contrast to the waiter in the restaurant who was determined to keep all his customers happy and well fed. The meal was...

“We were at the front and there was little road noise (weekend stay).”

“rooms facing the garden are quiet but tbh we were facing the road so an early market setting up did wake us. The rooms are nevertheless well set out and modern despite the old worls appearance at the front. Owners were very friendly and the car parking was great as we had a classic car enroute to le mans. All wonderful bar the add on prices (taxes) and the appalling breakfast.”
