I had stayed at another hotel across the street, but I couldn't recall the name about 15 years ago. When I took my wife, I wanted a hotel close to the Abbey for the view and proximity. We took the shuttle bus to the abbey, and walked back to the hotel - it's maybe 1 mile +/-. The hotel is...

We got a decent room, very clean and tidy, with a great bathroom. Ladies at the were friendly and helpful. The only downside is that the window was a bit too small and the view was on a roof. Otherwise it was good value for the money.

Stranger is correct about the access code. To get to hotels that are this close to the causeway for Mont Saint Michel you need to pass through a barricade that requires a different access code each time, The code costs you 4 Euros each time you re-enter and is a pain in the rear. Having said that, the Relais du...

I spent one night while visiting Mont St Michel. We had a triple room which was more spacious than we expected, and everything looked very clean. While the decor was not modern the room had a nice feel. It was very quiet and the walk to Mont St Michel was very pleasant.

It is VERY important that you get a 6-digit access code for the road gate when you make your reservation or call the hotel in advance. Otherwise you will have to call the hotel while sitting at the gate. If you have no telephone, you will NOT be able to access the hotel. There are no exceptions made. They will...

We booked a twin river view room for one night. The hotel is as close as you can get to Mont St Michel without actually staying in the town. If you lean out from your window balcony you can see Mont St Michel. Our room was not luxurious, and on the small side, but clean with good use of space...

Booked in advance without a problem. However, we didn't realise that to enter the area where the hotel is located you need a specific code to raise the road barrier. Fortunately a local shopkeeper was able to contact the hotel for me and get that code. Service was friendly and the staff were tolerant of my limited French. The room...

I stayed one night at Le Relais du Roy which is located about as close as you can get to Mont Saint Michel without staying there. The location was very good and close to the free shuttle service. The hotel is a bit dated but it was fine for one night. I had a small balcony and could see Mont...

We debated whether to stay inside the wall of Mont Saint Michel, but decided it would be much more convenient to stay outside. The hotel is in an area that is controlled by a gate. Only people staying in the hotels in the area are allowed to drive their own cars passing the gate. You need to contact the hotel...

The hotel is perfect locaited for those who want to visit Mt St Michel. You can walk from the hotel to the Abbey. The general enviroment is clean but we had a negative experience as one of our rooms was with an intense smoking smell.
