A must try simply because its the original omelet place created by the lady. Set menus of different prices are available or you can choose a la carte which actually adds up more. Taste is so-so, nothing to shout home about. Just a historical site checked and done with.

My wife and I took the Very fast and comfortable TGV train from Paris to spend one night on Mont Saint Michele at the La Mere Poulard and it was an amazing experience. A dated hotel but very nice and as expected. The room was clean. It was cool here at night in the middle of

What a bad place to stay! Old, ugly, expensive rooms (every F1 motel is better!) Even Ibis Hotels are luxury pure compared to that place. Unfriendly staff at the reception. And the so called most famous omelette de France will never receive a positive mention in the Guide

The hotel is the first hotel inside the walls of mount saint michel. It is traditionally decorated and the staff is nice. To get to the rooms you do have to go up many narrow and steep steps, so travel light and be ready to do some exercise. The rooms are quite small, but the

We are traveling by car is there on site parking
No, you cannot park on the Mount. There is a lot outside the bay but the hotel has to giveyou a code to access it. Take a small luggage with the minimum only. From the parking there is a shuttle that goes to the Mount.

Could you keep our luggage until we can check in?
With regards to keeping your luggage it really depends on how busy the hotel is, or how helpful the staff want to be. The lobby and reception area is tiny. If they already have luggage from other travellers then they may not have enough room for yours. If they have the space then it will be OK. But be aware, the staff are not very helpful and even if they have space may not help you. You have to be ultra nice to them to start with!
