I wish I could give this hotel 5 stars but a few hiccups mean its not possible. We booked to stay one night on the way to the ferry, a little detour off the motorway and a last night of luxury before our holiday ended. We had warned the hotel that it could be after 11pm when we arrived. After... More

A great hotel on the seafront, perfect for a romantic getaway. Old style facade but very modern interior. Fantastic rooms, friendly staff, amazing breakfast. The sauna is worth a visit, but it's a shame there is no pool. The bar is a lovely place for pre-dinner drinks or simply a cup of tea. Room service is very attentive and the... More

This is not a bargain hotel. So our expectations were high and in the main the hotel achieved them. The location is first rate with easy access for both the sea front and town centre. The amenities at the hotel are good and it is a nice touch to have tea making facilities in the room. Our sea facing room... More

Top class fine establishment right on seafront food and room excellent. Town has plenty of bars and restaurants all speak good English and vast variety of foods available. The beach is very long so a romantic walk along the prom or beach is a must.

Old world charm, but completely updated and beautiful, AND reasonably priced! Perfect location right on the beautiful wide beach yet close to town. Rooms are large, luxurious and comfortable. My only complaint was there were no coffee makers in the room, and none for guests in the lobby. A hotel of this quality should have a Keureg machine at the... More

My wife and I went up there for the Labor Day week end and had a great time there for an affordable rate. Rooms are very comfortable, clean and quiet. The hotel is located right on the Cabourg beach. Their restaurant is great: We recommend to try their breakfast with homemade "madeleines" (local French pastries). The only drawback: even though... More

As we drove towards this hotel we were struck by its grandeur. It was a magnificent building and we expected to have a great stay. Reception was friendly and efficient and we soon had our room which was huge with a massive balcony overlooking Cabourg's beach and the Promenade Bar and snack area - beware the French idiosyncratic opening hours... For a hotel charging €600 per night for a standard room it is fair to say the service upon arrival should be better. Having been told the parking was free outside the hotel, what was not explained was the chance of finding a space was similar to winning the lottery. "Private parking is available" we were told as cars starting... More

There's no doubt this is a very good hotel. The location is brilliant. Our sea-view room was spacious, luxurious and quiet. Staff were courteous; breakfast was very good in terms of both choice and quality. Dinner in the restaurant was superb - but also one of the most expensive meals we've ever had. On the down side, the free parking... More

We stayed here for 4 days with 2 adults and 1 teenager. The superior room with sea view was very spacious. This historic hotel was renovated recently. It was a very hot period and there were some small flies against the (old) windows. You have a direct access to the beach. However, the parasols are mostly occupied (for several days).... More
