It advertised on Booking.com as having free parking but we ended up paying for an overnight stay in an underground car park. Could have parked in the road but would have had to get up and move car very early. Room was ok but a bit small for 3 of us.

We booked the Hotel Alexandra for our last night in France before getting the ferry back to the UK from Calais, as it had a good review on TripAdvisor. We arrived with three bikes on a bike rack, and were recommended by the man at check-in to park in the car park up the road, which we did. Our bike... More

I read lots of mixed reviews on here prior to booking this hotel, but thought as I was only going to use it for one night, it seemed cheap and cheerful, so booked it. On arrival the reception couple were very friendly and we were given the keys to our room on the first floor which had two aspects, to... More

You know the comments are not always found and it is better to come to us to get his opinion, and so we are glad you made that choice and able to enjoy our new bedding in a style of decoration "at home "Hope to see you again. More

The hotel is close to the centre, small, clean and friendly English speaking owner. There was plenty of street parking when I arrived nearby (evening). Some noise outside, but ok at night time. A range of restaurants within 10 minutes stroll. Not a fancy place, but a good overnight stop. I will definitely use again and Boulogne is definitely more... More

very clean budget accommodation in a very good location. Travelled with 3 children aged 6,5 and 3 on my own and everything was in easy reach. Room was like a mini apartment without a kitchen. We hadn't planned to spend a lot of time in the hotel so the fact that it was so small wasn't a problem. Breakfast was taken... More

Nice little good value hotel situated within walking distance of most of the local sights. Room was basic but clean, staff spoke English very well, which although shouldn't be expected, was very welcome. We paid a bit extra for breakfast which was continental and fairly good. The hotel is right next door to a Patisserie which sold fantastic goodies.

This is a clean and basic two star hotel with friendly and attentive staff. Everything is within walking distance, from the old walled town, to restaurants and shops. The hotel doesn’t have a car park, but the public car park next door was well lit and safe, with a further underground car park just around the corner. Parking charges are... More

A lot of money for a very small and basic room. Had to pay an additional six euros each for our two small dogs. The hotel is situated in a rundown area of town with views of tower blocks from the room. The room was reasonably clean. There is no free parking in the area although there is anunderground car... Surprised by your comment indeed € 70.00 for a double room is the average price of a two-stars in France, less than in England for the same level of service. As for the price for your dogs, it is justified given that the maid spent a half hour of overtime to suck the hair of your beloved animals, think about... More

We stayed in this hotel for one night breaking up our journey to the Chanel Tunnel. Basic hotel but very welcoming. We stayed for one night last year when we were travelling through on my partners motorbike. The woman even went one step further who dried out our trousers when we got caught out by the rain. Definitely recommend. The local food and especially the bakery next door is superb :)
