I thoroughly enjoyed my stay in the Blue Room at Voliere B&B. Didn't look anything special from the street, but the view from my room overlooked nice lawns and a garden. I had a big comfy bed, chairs and desk and I felt very good staying threre. The shower was rather small, but there was ample hot water and it... More

This was my second trip to La Voliere. On both occasions Lise's mother has been looking after things and she was very welcoming. She does speak en Francais rather than English but it is really easy to converse and great fun. My room on the first visit was a little plain with a separate shared bathroom, but I was travelling... We were really looking forward to our stay after seeing the pictures and reviews of the place but left feeling a bit deflated. There was confusion with the rooms we had booked and so there was 4 adults and 1 child in 1 room which meant we were very cramped with little space. The ensuit bathroom was very small and... More

Stayed here for one night before our journey down to the Loire Valley. We needed something close to Calais (40mins) but wanted something with a little more personality than the usual formula 1/ibis type stopovers. La Voliere was perfect. As others have said the immediate area doesn't appear great neither does the outside of this b&b but once you step... More

We go back here each time we visit Boulogne. the very first time we thought we had arrived at he wrong address (as another reviewer wrote it doesn't look much from the outside) but you enter a different world - a wonderfully light hall and are usually greeted by the welcoming Lise and you get a real sense of entering... We stayed in La Voliere over the August Bank holiday and it was the perfect choice for us. We were travelling with a 2 year old and our room, Suite Martin Pecheur was fantastic. They provided a travel cot with a lovely soft mattress and bedding and our son could sleep happily in the large adjoining room within the suite,... More

Very comfortable family suite for 95 euros. Very friendly and the unprepossessing street exterior belies the lovely house and garden beyond. The breakfast was super and my sons were able to bounce around on the trampoline in the garden after a long drive in the car. Lise even gave me a lift when I needed to visit the post office... More

Great stay. A family run bed and breakfast. Very friendly and very clean home. There is use of the kitchen so you can heat up your own things. Good continental breakfast. Location excellent can get to beach in 5 mins by car. Will return in one of the family rooms next year.

We chose this B&B because of its close proximity to Calais, which meant that we could leave for our holiday the evening before and be in France for an early start. It was quick and easy to get to from the ferry taking less than half an hour. As a family of four, the accommodation was perfect for our needs,... More

We found this b and b through trip advisor and were there for a 1 night stay in June on our way to Normandy. Like the other review said, we thought we were in the wrong place as a busy main road, but once we went inside it was like a different world! Beautifully restored old French town house with... More
