I had stayed at this hotel previously, but not for two years, and I did not let last year's review deter me from the tried and trusted. The hotel is situated just off the main drag and being in a cul-de -sac [there are steps at the end] there is no traffic noise. It is a rather traditional and my room this visit was well-appointed with large built-in storage space.
Le Patron and his family were invariably pleasant and courteous and at no time did I detect the slightest whiff of cigarette smoke in the eight days I stayed there. In fact, the entrance to the hotel had a prominent 'No Smoking' sign and Le Patron invariably went outside to light up.
As mentioned previously,it is a traditional[some might say old-fashioned] provincial hotel-but everything works and everything is clean. The mattress was firm but fine and the lift works. The location is brilliant and I hope to return next year. More
