Easily to do the overnight during a longer trip to France or more south. Breakfast is simple but sufficiënt. Nice bed. Shower was leaking a little. Room was sufficiently clean. Windows cannot be opened but airco kept room cool.

Booked this based on favourable reviews on another website, turned up to see a car park strewn with litter, all the bins were full and overflowing, not a good look for sure. Got up to the room and noticed a rather pungent stench, tried to open the window but there are the non opening type. I complained to the so called manager but he said no other rooms were available, found out that the smell was coming from the bathroom, it was bloody awful, with the door closed it was bearable but in the bathroom it was like an open sewer. I would never stay here again, nor would I recommend it to anyone, left thoroughly dissatisfied with this dump.

We checked in late on a last minute reservation and Gaylord was very helpful with everything and attentive to our needs (when he heard me say I was hungry, he pointed out the last options for the night). He also solved our room issue quickly and efficiently. The room.was very nice for the price paid.

Modern, well equipped 4*. Excellent beds. Wifi a bit shaky and slow. Breakfast just about standard. No minibar on my floor’s rooms (3rd). Paid 77€ for the night plus breakfast which is very reasonable given the good standard.

We stayed there for one night on October 8, 2018 The hotel was smelling sewage. Floor was dirty. My sister got a room, I got another room on a different floor. Late at night, someone knocked discreetly bu repeatedly at the door of my sister. She had a "do not disturb" sign on. The male voice said some things my sister did not understand, and did not go away after my sister told him to go away in French and in English. She called the reception, even though she could not hear anyone intervening, 10 minutes later the man at the reception called back and told her the person at her door was drunk, and was mistaken the room. They did not change her room for her security. She was terrified to stay there alone, she came to my room and did not sleep all night. Next morning we complained, but nothing was done. We paid for the room she could not sleep in, no apologies whatsover, and the hotel manager (Laurent Giraudon) did not even bother coming to the premises to talk to us (we insisted to see him or talk to him). We would expect at least sincere apologies and change my sister's room after this alleged drunk man "mistake" which we believe was not a true story. They did cover-up the incident, it could have ended much worse. We thought about going to the police, but we were on the road for a meeting and we had to leave. We would never stay again in this hotel. We have reasons to believe the night guard acted improperly and the manager totaly ignored the basic rules of hostellerie. In short, they were rude and tried to cover or downplay the incident. Shame on you Kyriad!

Response from laurent G, Directeur général at Kyriad Design Enzo Thionville

Lister I find that the meaning of your message is contrary to our responsibilities. the night watchman went upstairs and found a drunk client who was not upstairs in his room. he told her not to go to this floor anymore and not to bother other people in the hotel, otherwise she would call the police. the customer returned to his room and did not leave because the night watchman made sure. so I allow myself to tell you that we have taken our responsibility and that your sister has been warned. It was not possible for us to change the room as it was full and nothing would have changed. For my part I was not present on the hotel being 40 km from this one I do not see how I could have made me meet you for a case that had been classified by the intervention of our night watchman. know that we take our responsibility for the well being of our customers. I do not think your sister was later bothered in your room. for info this customer was present on your arrival and was saying to talk with our sister. we will be happy to see you again to actually check our professionalism. it is difficult for us to make discounts to every little problem beyond our control. cordially
