The chalet does not look inviting, a bit closed, the room is less spacious than expected at booking. Most important is the cleanliness and the bossy host:
Despite the emphasis put on us taking shower before using the spa, the fruit in the basket are beyond expiry, yoghurt not finished in the bowle the day before is served back again the following day and the host wears same jumper for entire 4 days, does this convince on hygiene? Most disappointing was the dinner cooked on Wednesday evening: paying 19 € for 2 little children who hardly eat, severed a meager meal without starter for 19€ each is too much and does not compete with the local lowerpriced kitchen.
I would not go back and believe the chalet should be taken of low price-high value lists.

We just stayed for 2 nights in the TULIPE room. The room was ok with a nice view but the bathroom was really small. Everywhere in the chalet you will find "stuff" = plastic flowers, ornaments, decoration, lamps, candles,..... It's just too much! I would say that "less is more".
Madame Gisèle was friendly but a bit odd, she just misses the natural touch of making feel guests at home!

The breakfast was not good, not bad. It was breakfast, period. Don't expect a romantic "tête à tête" because you will have to share the honey and butter with someone right beside you. You just want it to get over as quick as possible.

The chalet itself is really beautiful and new but you'll see that the price is overrated. I think 75 euro a night is too expensive, 50 euro would be better. If you are thinking of spending this amount of money then I would consider the Grand Hotel in Gerardmer !
And if you are staying 2 nights, they won't make up the...
