We spent 2 nights in this delightful B and B run by charming hosts who gave us lots of helpful information. Our room was large and very comfortable but I agree with a previous comment that air-con would have been appreciated. It was great to have the swimming pool at the end of a long day`s sightseeing. Breakfast was very good with fresh fruits, breads, yogurts etc and it was served in the lovely garden setting. There are lots of good and reasonably priced restaurants in the delightful small town and it was a fairly easy walk of about 20 minutes although it is uphill on the way back! We would certainly recommend this place to stay.
Spacious room and bathroom, nice garden setting, safe parking for your car, very hospitable hosts (especially he, so kind and wanting to help). What we suggest for an even better experience: air conditioning (the first day we really suffered at 37 degrees), a mosquito net (none there, but many dead and alive mosquitoes in the room) and definitely something "salty" for breakfast - either ham or salami or real cheese or eggs. We may be four snobs, but we all missed that....
Spent 5 nights here in late June to introduce my grand-daughter to the area. Alain and Frédérique were wonderful hosts, extremely helpful and attentive to our needs (even gluten-free diet). Loved our breakfasts in the garden and the occasional take-out dinners (from local grocery store) when we were too tired to go out again after a full day. Access to a micro-wave, fridge, plates and cutlery. Relaxed setting and friendly ambiance made for a very enjoyable quiet stay. Glad to have free parking for my rental car. Although I was already familiar with many of the local sights, our hosts` suggestions led us to have some unexpectedly good adventures. Their enthusiasm was infectious. Good value in an interesting town. Would recommend staying here rather than Avignon.
Wonderful location, peaceful and relaxing. Great hosts who want you to be happy and enjoy their lovely home and make the most of the surrounding area. Out of the centre of the ancient village, but certainly walkable. A car would be useful but certainly isn't necessary to get around as bus services are good and local trains run mostly to time. Please don't be put off if you don't have transport - if you're reasonably fit this place is without doubt well worth the effort. Breakfasts outside under the spreading oaks by the pool every morning - a great start to the day. The room was spacious, comfortable and very clean. Frederique and Alain are a delight and offer great suggestions and information about the locality - this is on the list of the 'must retun to' places!
We just returned from a 5 night stay at the home of Frederique and Alain. First and foremost, it is imperative to say what wonderful hosts they are i.e.always taking the time to make valuable suggestions and share insightful recommendations about the area, going above and beyond if the need arises. The B and B is comfortable and well- situated in Villeneuve right outside of Avignon, which makes it necessary to have a vehicle but also assures quiet and relaxation after a day of sightseeing.Their breakfasts are tasty and the pool is refreshing. It was extremely hot which was expected and so air conditioning would have been lovely. We would recommend La Vigne et L'Olivier for a stay in Avignon.
